The lighting system comprises signal receiving means and means for adjusting the color of light emitted from at least one lighting element, in response to a received color control signal from the device. The device for wireless control comprises means for—generating color information data, said data being indicative of a desired color of light to be emitted by the lighting system, means for modulating a first carrier signal in accordance with the color information data, and means for transmitting said color control signal in the form of a beam of said first modulated carrier signal to the lighting system.

A lens system (222) is used to provide the wide beamwidth projection, and a split-beam system (225) is used to correlate interference patterns to particular segments of the wide beamwidth projection. The reflected interference beams are detected on a detector array (240) that is configured to detect the undulations corresponding to objects within the wide beamwidth projection.

摘要: A roll detection system is disclosed for detecting a roll angle of a light emitting apparatus around a longitudinal axis thereof. The light emitting apparatus preferably is a pointing device (2). The system furthermore comprises a light detecting arrangement (4) for detecting light emitted by the pointing device (2) and means for determining where the pointing device is pointed. The pointing device (2) comprises at least a first (X1) and a second light source (Y1). The first (X1) and second light source (Y1) emit light with a different polarization orientation. The light detecting arrangement (4) is equipped with a polarization filter (3). The orientation of the polarization of the light emitted by the first (X1) and second light source (Y1) differs by an angle unequal to 90°. With the system the roll angle of the pointing device (2) can be determined for a large angle range.
