摘要: A method of forming a space frame for a cab, including forming each of a pair of hydroformed, longitudinally extending inner side rails, a hydroformed connecting member, a hydroformed first upper cross member, each of a pair of hydroformed upper longitudinal members, and each of a pair of hydroformed A-pillar members. The method including, providing a tubular metallic blank having a tubular metallic wall. The method also including placing the tubular metallic blank into a die cavity of a die assembly, the die cavity having die surfaces, and providing a high pressure fluid into an interior of the blank to expand the metallic wall of the central portion of the blank outwardly into conformity with the surfaces of the die cavity to define the respective hydroformed member. The method further including mounting the connecting member to each of the inner side rails, and mounting the first upper cross member to said connecting member; mounting each of the upper longitudinal members to the first upper cross member; and mounting each of the A-pillar members to one of the upper longitudinal members.

摘要: A space frame for a truck cab, the space frame having a pair of hydroformed, longitudinally extending inner side rail members, a laterally extending and hydroformed connecting member extending between the inner side rail members and extending laterally beyond each of the inner side rail members. The connecting member being constructed and arranged to hold the pair of inner side rail members in laterally spaced relation to one another. The space frame also having a U-shaped and hydroformed first upper cross member having a pair of leg portions forming rear pillar structures and a transverse bight portion. Each of the rear pillar structures being connected to and extending upwardly from the connecting member, and the pair of inner side rail members being positioned between and spaced from the pair of leg portions.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for communicating binary data using a self-descriptive binary data structure. The binary data structure also may be referred to as a microcode reconstruct and boot (MRB) image. The binary data structure includes a plurality of data segments, a target data set, and a data structure descriptor. Each of the data segments has a data segment header and data field. The target data set is stored within the data field and may be an executable. The data structure descriptor is descriptive of the binary data structure and identifies the location of the target data set within the data field. The binary data structure is self-descriptive in that the location of an individual target data set may be identified by the data structure descriptor.

摘要: An object/test material interaction microti iridic device comprising a sample inlet adapted to receive a fluid sample comprising a plurality of objects, an outlet adapted to output the fluid sample from the device, at least one internal surface defining a flow cavity within the device, wherein the flow cavity extends between and is connected to the sample inlet and the outlet for flow of the fluid sample through the flow cavity, the flow cavity comprises a test area to which at least one test material is attached and which is situated in the flow cavity for flow of the fluid sample over the test area, and the flow cavity has an aspect ratio which, when the flow cavity is substantially filled by the fluid sample, provides a substantially constant shear force between the test area and the fluid sample flowing over the test area. The invention further comprises a system incorporating the device, methods of use of the device and system, and methods of analyzing interactions.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are provided for updating a code image. The apparatus, system, and method include a loader for loading a new code image into a temporary memory location separate from the memory location occupied by the old code image. A conversion module of the new code image executes and selectively reconciles incompatibilities between the old code image and the new code image. In one aspect, once incompatibilities are reconciled, a copy module copies the new code image into the memory space occupied by the old code image.

摘要: A combination featuring a housing supporting a clock circuit with an internal clock, and an audio frequency generating apparatus integrated into the housing, in which the clock circuit is manually operated only in a first preferred embodiment is disclosed; while the clock circuit is responsive to a pre-selected frequency of the audio frequency generating apparatus in a second preferred embodiment is further disclosed. Preferably, the audio frequency generating apparatus takes the form of a whistle that incorporates a plurality of tone notches. Each tone notch produces an audible frequency slightly out of phase with the audible frequencies produced by the remaining tone notches. When a user selects an automatic mode for operating the combination in the second preferred embodiment, one of the plurality of frequencies produced by the tone notches (having been previously selected) is sampled by the clock circuit to activate and deactivate the internal clock.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for fastload code update on a communications adapter. The apparatus includes an image load module, a memory initialization module, and an image overlay module. The image load module is configured to load a copy of a new code image in a memory on the communications adapter. The memory also concurrently stores a copy of an old code image used by the communications adapter. The memory initialization module is configured to invoke the new code image to perform a memory initialization operation. The memory initialization module may perform the memory initialization operation concurrently with ongoing I/O requests possibly accepted, but not necessarily processed, by the old code image. The image overlay module is configured to overlay the old code image with the new code image. The fastload code update minimizes the time that the communications adapter is off-line to overlay the old code image with the new code image and reinitialize the communications adapter.
