Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a print head, a first cutter and a processor. The print head performs printing on a printing medium. The first cutter cuts the printing medium on which the print head has performed the printing. The first cutter trims away a corner at an end in a width direction of the printing medium. The processor controls the print head and the first cutter based on cutting information on an area to be trimmed by the first cutter so that a printing area of the printing medium is not cut by the first cutter.

A stamping-face plate holder is provided. The stamping-face plate holder comprises a plate holding member formed with a positioning recess for receiving and positioning a stamping-face plate and a film for covering the stamping-face plate held in the plate holding member. The stamping-face plate is made of a porous material impregnated with ink. The plate holding member consists of a top paper board and a bottom paper board, both boards being integrated by adhering and the positioning recess is formed in the top paper board. The film covers the whole surface of the top paper board and adheres to the top paper board excepting the stamping-face plate held therein.

A printer includes a processor; a thermal head driver circuit that drives a thermal head for printing on a printing medium; a motor driver circuit that drives a motor configured to convey the printing medium; and a power supply circuit that includes a capacitor and a first switching circuit to charge the capacitor, the power supply circuit supplying electrical power to the thermal head driver circuit and the motor driver circuit via the capacitor, wherein the processor, when stopping operation of the printer, performs a control process of discharging the capacitor via the motor driver circuit and the motor.
Abstract:
A stamp-face platemaking device transports a medium holder inserted into a plate insertion portion to a printing unit. The medium holder holds a stamp face material in a plate-like member, and has a predetermined pattern in a side end portion thereof. An optical sensor detects the top end portion of the medium holder on a sensor scanning line in the inserting direction, and the pattern start point and the pattern end point of the predetermined pattern. At least one of the horizontal and vertical sizes of the stamp face material is set based on the positions of two of the detected end portions. When the pattern end point is detected, platemaking with the stamp face material is started.

There is provided a roll tape including a core main body portion having a double cylinder construction made up of an outer core portion and an inner core portion, a pair of shaft portions each having an insertion portion which can be fittingly inserted in the inner core portion, an outer shaft which can be fittingly inserted in the outer core portion and a bearing shaft that is thinner than and concentric with the outer shaft and which extends longer in one direction than the outer shaft and a printing tape which is wound around a tape core which has the pair of shaft portions disposed individually on both sides of the core main body portion.
