    摘要: An agricultural square baler equipped with a pre-compression chamber and configured to guide crop material towards and into the baling chamber where rectangular bales are formed. At least one of the upper and lower walls of the pre-compression chamber is formed by a conveyor belt, arranged to move from the supply towards the baling chamber. The conveyor belt has at least two portions configured to exert different friction forces on a batch of crop material, so that the high friction portion is capable of moving the batch into the baling chamber, whereas the low friction portion exerts a low force on the batch, thereby preventing material to be prematurely moved towards the baling chamber.

    摘要: An agricultural baler for producing rectangular bales, having a reciprocating plunger moving back and forth in the enclosure formed by walls, thereby compressing crop material and forming rectangular bales, and further including at least one actuator for adapting the cross-section of the enclosure depending on the required pressure that needs to be exerted on the advancing bale. Actuators can apply their force on the sidewalls along transversal support beams or brackets forming the ‘density belt’. The baling chamber is provided with one or more friction or moisture sensors which are placed at the location or in the immediate vicinity of one or more side wall reinforcements.

    摘要: A square baler has a baling chamber, a plunger reciprocable at one end of the baling chamber, a pre-compression chamber within which charges of crop are amassed and pre-compressed by a rotor prior to transfer into the baling chamber, and a pickup roller having radially projecting tines for picking up crop from the ground and advancing the crop to the rotor. A torque sensor is connected to at least one tine of the pickup roller to produce an electrical output signal indicative of the torque experienced by the pickup roller, and a processing circuit is operative to estimate the rate of crop flow into the chute by analyzing the electrical output of the torque sensor only at times when the position of the tine lies within a predetermined angular position of the pickup roller.

    摘要: A moisture sensor for a forage harvester is described, the moisture sensor comprising a sensing device, a processing unit and an output terminal. The sensing device is configured to sense an electrical characteristic of a harvested crop and generate a sensor signal representative of the electrical characteristic. The processing unit is configured to receive the sensor signal from the sensing device and to process the sensor signal to derive a moisture level of the harvested crop. The output terminal is connected to the processing unit for outputting an output signal representative of the moisture level as derived by the processing unit. Each operating mode for the sensing device having a different moisture level sensitivity characteristic, and receiving an operating parameter and selecting an operating mode of the plurality of operating modes for the sensing device, based on the operating parameter.
