    摘要: An adhesive is described, in particular for applications on substrate materials made of flexible PVC, comprising a polymer which is obtainable via free-radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated compounds and which is composed of at least 50% by weight of soft acrylate monomers with glass transition temperature below 0° C., at least 1% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated nitriles, at least 1% by weight of hard acrylate monomers with glass transition temperature of at least 60° C., at least 0.1% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated acid monomers, and at least 0.01% by weight of monomers having at least two non-conjugated, polymerizable vinyl groups, where the polymerization reaction takes place via staged polymerization, and at least one portion of the soft acrylate monomers is polymerized in a first polymerization stage, and at least one portion of the hard acrylate monomers is polymerized in a second or subsequent polymerization stage. Uses of the adhesive for the bonding of substrates made of flexible PVC are also described, as also are self-adhesive items with a PVC foil as substrate material and with a coating of the adhesive of the invention.

    摘要: Paper or cardboard packaging produced from recycled paper contaminated by mineral oil, where the packaging includes a barrier layer obtained by applying an aqueous polymeric dispersion containing a mixture of at least two polymers A and B. Polymer A is obtained by emulsion polymerization of C1-C4 alkyl(meth)acrylates, acid monomers, e.g., acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, 0-20 wt % of acrylonitrile and 0-10 wt % of further monomers, where the glass transition temperature of copolymer A is greater than +45° C. and the glass transition temperature of polymer B is less than +10° C. The mean value calculated from the glass transition temperatures of the individual polymers is +10 to +45° C. The barrier layer may be situated on one of the surfaces of the packaging or form one of multiple layers of a multilayered packaging coating or be situated as a coating on one side of an inner bag situated within the packaging.

    摘要: The use of polyelectrolyte complexes is described, for providing an oxygen barrier to packaging materials made of polymer foils. Polymeric components of the polyelectrolyte complex are applied in polymerized form to the polymer foil. The polymer foil is either coated with an aqueous dispersion comprising a dispersed polyelectrolyte complex previously produced by water-in-water emulsion polymerization, or is coated with a composition comprising a polyelectrolyte complex produced from anionic polymer and from cationic surfactant, or the polymer foil is coated with at least three alternating layers, where respectively one of two adjacent layers comprises an anionic polyelectrolyte component and the other of two adjacent layers comprises a cationic polyelectrolyte component, and polyelectrolyte complexes form at the opposite, adjacent interfaces of the alternating layers.

    摘要: A description is given of an adhesive composition which comprises a polymer preferably in the form of an emulsion polymer in dispersion in water. The emulsion polymer has a glass transition temperature of less than −61° C. and is preparable by emulsion polymerization at temperatures less than 80° C. from 80-95% by weight of 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and 5-20% by weight of further, ethylenically unsaturated, free-radically copolymerizable monomers, of which 0.2% to 2% by weight, based on the total amount of monomers, are acid-containing comonomers. The adhesive composition can be used in particular as a pressure-sensitive adhesive for producing plasticizer-free, self-adhesive, redetachable paper labels.
