    摘要: A highly efficient lighting system, a scrolling unit, and a projection system adopting the highly efficient lighting system and the scrolling unit are provided. The scrolling unit has at least one lens cell. From the viewpoint of light incident upon the at least one lens cell, the rotation of the at least one lens cell is converted into a rectilinear motion of a lens array, such that incident light is scrolled. The projection system includes a light source, an optical splitter, at least one scrolling unit, and a light valve. The optical splitter splits light emitted from the light source according to wavelength. The at least one scrolling unit has at least one lens cell. The lens cell has an incident side and an emitting side and divides incident light into light beams. The rotation of the lens cell causes a rectilinear motion of the light beams, thereby scrolling incident light. The light emitted from the light source is separated into color beams by the optical splitter and the scrolling unit, and the color beams are focused on the light valve. The light valve processes incident light according to an input image signal in order to form a color image.

The magnet frame portion may include an opening into which a magnet is received. The MEMS mirror may also include a first fixing end and a second fixing end, to which the moving unit may be elastically supported by one or more elastic members that allows oscillating or pivoting movement of the moving unit.

    摘要: A device for enhancing contrast for a liquid crystal display (LCD) projection system is provided. The contrast enhancing device includes an image driver supplying an image signal, a LCD panel for converting the input image signal into an optical image signal, and a contrast control portion positioned on the same optical axis as that of the LCD panel, for controlling an amount of scanned light according to the brightness of a corresponding image. Accordingly, the projection system adopting an image display device as a liquid crystal device provides a remarkably enhanced contrast enhancement effect. In particular, as the brightness of the total image is brighter, the contrast enhancement effect becomes larger.

The image forming apparatus can employ a beam deflector having a double-sided mirror portion that pivots to bi-directionally scan multiple light beams on multiple photosensitive media at different phases by using both mirror sides of the double-sided mirror portion. The individual monochromic images developed on the photosensitive media are transferred onto a transfer medium to overlap one another in phase to form a full color image.

    摘要: A scan format converter for converting a video format by bi-sigmoid interpolation. In the scan format converter, a memory controller has a look-up table at which first and second displacement values for pixel points of a video format to be converted are stored, controls transmission of color signals input from an external device, and reads the first and second displacement values for the pixel points of the color signals from the look-up table. A mode detector detects horizontal and vertical sync signals input from the external device and outputs a video format detection signal representing a mode of the currently input video format to the memory controller. A memory temporarily stores the color signals. A color signal logic circuit has a plurality of bi-sigmoid interpolation tables at which sigmoid interpolation values according to a color signal level difference between two pixel points are stored, and bi-sigmoid-interpolates the color signal levels of the input pixel points with respect to an x-axis and a y-axis according to the first and second displacement values input from the memory controller. A sync generator generates a sync signal to the color signal logic circuit.
