摘要: A system and method for controlling an engine control an EGR cooler bypass valve to divert at least a portion of EGR flow around an EGR cooler when operating under cooler fouling/plugging conditions, such as during idle, off-idle, exhaust system warm up and DPF regeneration or other post injection operation with EGR gas temperature below a corresponding threshold or with EGR low-temperature coolant temperature below a corresponding threshold. The system and method reduce exhaust gases passing through the EGR cooler that contain a high concentration of unburned or partially unburned fuel when the temperature in the EGR system is lower than the fuel condensation temperature.

摘要: Termination of regeneration of a particulate filter may be based on a variable percent threshold of stored particulate, where the percent threshold of stored particulate depends on a current soot burn rate. In one example approach, a method for controlling regeneration of a diesel particulate filter comprises: terminating regeneration based on a particulate burning rate; wherein the particulate burning rate is based on operating conditions of the diesel particulate filter; the operating conditions including an amount of stored particulate in the diesel particulate filter and a temperature of the diesel particulate filter.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to the growth of single crystal III-V semiconductors on amorphous substrates. In one aspect, a shape of a semiconductor structure to be formed on an amorphous substrate is defined in a resist disposed on the amorphous substrate. A boron group element is deposited over the amorphous substrate. A ceramic material is deposited on the boron group element. The resist is removed from the amorphous substrate. The ceramic material is deposited to cover the boron group element. The amorphous substrate and materials deposited thereon are heated in the presence of a gas including a nitrogen group element to grow a single crystal semiconductor structure comprising the boron group element and the nitrogen group element.

摘要: A safety inlet apparatus for a paper feed opening of a shredder, with cutting cylinders including an upper casing having a feed end with a safety dam with upper and lower indices. An angled plate means set apart from the upper casing forms the paper feed opening. A safety plate with a distal index end is provided, which is formed to traverse the feed opening from the angled plate to the safety dam. Also included is a pivot, and a power control switch. The pivot is configured to facilitate traversal of the safety plate distal index from the angled plate to the safety dam. The power limit switch is on the upper casing, apart from the pivot member. The traversal of the safety plate distal index end to the safety dam lower index causes the power control switch to stop comminution. A buckle bit plate provides open and closed detents.

摘要: A paper shredder having a ventilation fan; a ventilation duct tightly coupled to the ventilation fan; and air openings on the ventilation duct to blow air so that the natural fall of paper waste is disturbed. The air openings are on the ventilation duct blow air generally sideways or generally angularly to the natural fall of paper waste. The ventilation fan intake is proximate to and provides supplemental cooling air flow to, a shredder motor. A lower lid is generally above the waste bin, wherein the air openings are disposed to blow air. The shredder motor is on the lower lid. A ventilation fan intake is proximate to a shredder motor and tightly coupled to the ventilation fan, the ventilation fan intake provides supplemental cooling air flow to the shredder motor, and the air openings are on the ventilation duct blow air angularly to the natural paper waste fall.
