    摘要： A stent introducer is provided for introducing a stented catheter through a hemostatic valve. The stent introducer is inserted into the hemostatic valve to open the valve member and provide an open passageway for the stented catheter. The stent introducer is made from flexible plastic and has a slot that extends along the entire length of the stent introducer. Advantages of the stent introducer include ease of use and improved protection for the stented catheter during introduction.

    摘要： A stent deployment device (110) is provided for deploying a stent in a lumen of a patient. The device can include a catheter (112), a first balloon (122) positioned near a distal end of the catheter and a second balloon (123) adjacent to the first balloon. Alternatively, the second balloon can be positioned over the first balloon. The device also includes an expandable stent (210) positioned over the first balloon and the second balloon. The first balloon comprises a semi-compliant material, a noncompliant material or a compliant material. Similarly, the second balloon comprises a semi-compliant material, a noncompliant material or a compliant material. The first balloon is expandable to a first diameter, while the second balloon can be expandable to a second diameter.

    摘要： Slings, kits, and methods useful in the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) are described. An exemplary sling comprises a main body extending along a lengthwise axis and having first and second opposing ends, first and second opposing sides, and first and second opposing surfaces. Each end defines an end loop that defines a passageway extending through the main body. An exemplary method of treatment comprises creating two openings in the mandible of a patient; creating two longitudinal tunnels in the tongue of the patient; creating a transverse tunnel in the tongue of the patient; advancing a sling through the transverse tunnel; pulling each end of the sling through one of the longitudinal tunnels and through one of the openings in the mandible; pulling the tongue toward the front of the mouth or mandible; and securing the sling to a tissue to support the tongue in a new position.
