    摘要: The present invention is a computer-implemented system and method that allows data in different databases to be shared without requiring the data to be remodeled to fit an existing data convention. The invention allows the comparison of two database structures, and facilitates the searching of information from one database to other databases, or from an external set of search criterion against a plurality of databases. The invention allows information to be exchanged from heterogeneous data sources, or database query sources without having to alter the structure of the data sources that are being searched. A number of techniques may be used to do this comparison and facilitate the cross database searching. A computer-implemented method for monitoring and controlling a process comprises storing process attribute information of objects in a plurality of databases, receiving at least one process measurement from a measurement device, similarity searching the at least one process measurement against the process attribute information stored in the databases, assigning a similarity score to the process measurement, comparing the similarity score to a match tolerance level, computing a process action for at least one process machine, via an algorithm having a process variable, replacing the process variable in the algorithm with the process measurement where the similarity score is equal to or greater than the match tolerance level, replacing the process variable in the algorithm with a set point where the similarity score is lower than the match tolerance level, and communicating the process action to a process machine.

In one embodiment, the training device includes first and second surfaces disposed in an opposing manner and defining a space therebetween. The space can allow at least one body part of an athlete to cyclically travel between the first and second surfaces in a plane that intersects both of the first and second surfaces. The athlete can be supported such that the body part is substantially free from external resistance along a direction of travel within the plane. In this way, repeated movement of a body part can occur between the first and second surfaces without fatiguing muscles due to external resistance, thereby lengthening the duration of the training session. The at least one body part can include the feet of the athlete.

    摘要: The present invention is a computer-implemented method for optimizing the detecting and scoring of similarities between documents in a source database and search criteria. It uses a set of hierarchical documents having root, interior and leaf nodes where the leaf nodes contain data items. Unique identifiers are assigned to each unique data item contained within each leaf node within the set of documents. Unique identifiers may be assigned to the data items depending upon a selected context in the hierarchy of nodes within the documents. For each data item in each leaf node, a data item score is computed that represents a similarity between the data item in the leaf node and the search criteria. A parent nodes score is then computed by combining the data item scores for all its child nodes. A data and indexing structures provides for efficient similarity searching and the quick reporting of results because the data is organized by the categories a user wants to search. Assigning a pointer or unique identifier only to unique data items causes the memory requirements to be reduced and optimizes the search time. Depending upon the particular set of documents being searched and the search criteria, significant improvements in speed and memory requirements may be achieved.
