The present invention provides methods of using the treatment fluids in subterranean formations. One example of a suitable method includes providing a fracturing fluid comprising an aqueous base fluid, a compliant cellulosic viscosifying agent, a crosslinking agent, and a protective ligand and introducing the fracturing fluid into at least a portion of a subterranean formation at a rate and pressure sufficient to create or enhance at least one or more fractures in the subterranean formation.

摘要: Compositions and methods are provided which provide improved viscosity reduction of crosslinked hydratable polymer treating fluids in the presence of uncured resin-coated proppants. The uncured resins are generally uncured phenolic or furan resins. The breaker comprises an oxidizing agent to which is added a sequestering agent comprising a copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and acrylic acid to sequester at least a portion of any phenolic extracts from said resin that may be present in said treating fluid from contact with the uncured resin.

摘要: A method of fracturing a subterranean formation with a stabilized foamed fracturing fluid comprising from about 30 percent to in excess of about 95 percent by volume of carbon dioxide with the remainder comprising a substantially anhydrous liquid and a selected surfactant. The foam is formed in situ by injection of a stabilized liquid-liquid emulsion containing liquid carbon dioxide into a well bore penetrating the formation. The temperature and pressure of the emulsion is controlled to maintain the carbon dioxide in the liquid phase during injection into the well bore. Thereafter, the carbon dioxide is heated by the subterranean formation to a temperature above about 88.degree. F. at which time the stabilized emulsion spontaneously forms a high quality stabilized foam.
