摘要： An apparatus and a method are provided for pushing back caliper pistons, such as for example, single, double or quadruple caliper pistons. The apparatus may be comprised of a first rod, a second rod, and a third rod. The first rod may be connected to the second and third rods so that when the first rod moves the second and third rods also move. The apparatus may also include a first plate, wherein the first rod, the second rod, and the third rod are connected to the first plate. The apparatus may further include a second or press plate, which is connected to the second rod and the third rod. The apparatus may further include a third or tube plate and a fourth or wedge plate. The second and third rods may slide through first and second openings of the third and fourth plates.

The process comprises the microjectile bombardment of friable embryogenic callus from the plant to be transformed. The process may be applicable to other graminaceous cereal plants which have not proven stably transformable by other techniques.

摘要： A grill for attachment to a front portion of a vehicle including a base frame structure with a mesh front structure secured thereto. The grill has at least one picture frame structure that is moveable with respect to the base frame structure. The grill also includes a plurality of louvers that are in communication with and moveable with respect to each of the base frame structure and the at least one picture frame structure. A motor unit is associated with the grill and is in communication with the at least one picture frame structure to effectuate movement thereof such that as the at least one picture frame structure moves, the plurality of louvers between an open position and a closed position, whereby openings between adjacent ones of the plurality of louvers are exposed or shut off.

摘要： This invention relates to a reproducible system for the production of stable, genetically transformed maize cells, and to methods of selecting cells that have been transformed. One method of selection disclosed employs the Streptomyces bar gene introduced by microprojectile bombardment into embryogenic maize cells which were grown in suspension cultures, followed by exposure to the herbicide bialaphos. The methods of achieving stable transformation disclosed herein include tissue culture methods and media, methods for the bombardment of recipient cells with the desired transforming DNA, and methods of growing fertile plants from the transformed cells. This invention also relates to the transformed cells and seeds and to the fertile plants grown from the transformed cells and to their pollen.
