摘要:
The invention provides adenoviral vectors (preferably replication competent) comprising both an E3 sequence and at least one adenoviral gene under transcriptional control of a target cell-specific transcriptional response element. These vectors display significantly improved cytotoxicity, which is especially useful in the cancer context, in which selective destruction of target cells is desirable. The invention further provides host cells comprising the vectors. The invention further provides methods of using the adenoviral vectors.
摘要:
The present invention provides adenoviral vectors comprising cell status-specific transcriptional regulatory elements which confer cell status-specific transcriptional regulation on an adenoviral gene. A “cell status” is generally a reversible physiological and/or environmental state. The invention further provides compositions and host cells comprising the vectors, as well as methods of using the vectors.

The invention provides methods of treating neoplasia using combinations of target cell-specific replication competent adenoviral vectors and chemotherapy, radiation therapy or combinations thereof. The adenoviral vectors are target cell-specific for the particular type of neoplasia for which treatment is necessary and the combination with the chemotherapy and/or radiation leads to synergistic treatment over existing adenoviral therapy or traditional chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The present invention discloses compositions and methods for treating lung diseases. In preferred embodiments the methods involve administering to the subject via a pulmonary, oropharyngeal, or nasopharyngeal route a compound or composition that contains a therapeutic agent and a targeting element directed to a ligand. The ligand is preferably an epitope on pIgR receptor.

A message originator sends a picture or video message to a message center along with caller identifying information. The message is stored in a memory and transmitted to a wireless picture phone, PDA or portable computing device, or stored at the message center in a memory or hard disk drive for later retrieval by a message recipient. The picture or video message may be encoded, encrypted or compressed prior to receipt by the wireless device.

The problem of evenly cooking a food item so that all sides cook and brown evenly is solved by the use of a roasting platform that raises above rendered substances that can cause a steam and wetness to the surface of a food item. The roasting platform can be foldable or compressed, so that it takes up minimal storage space and can be deployed for use. Drain holes allow rendered substances to be more quickly separated from the surface of a food item. The same drain holes can be used as visual indicators when deploying the roasting platform to show when he folds of a roasting platform are sufficiently separated for maximum usable area and support for a weight placed thereon.
摘要:
In a wireless picturephone system and device, a method is shown for alerting a message recipient of a picture or video message transmitted from a message center. The alert in one embodiment includes a stored sound or textual data such as a name or other useful information associated with data that identifies the message originator.
