摘要： A method for reinforcing a substrate having a hollow structure or for fixing an insert in such a substrate comprises introducing a one- or two-component expandable and curable preparation based on epoxy resin into a selected part of the hollow structure to be reinforced. The preparation cures by being heated to a temperature in the range from 20 to 100° C. or above, while being expanded. An epoxy resin prepolymer and an organic ammonium carbamate, which at a temperature in the range from 20° to 100° C. or above releases at least 25% of the CO2 bound as carbamate.

摘要： A surgical milling tool with a hand-operated milling machine for milling the heads or sockets of bone joints of spherical shape is disclosed. The tool is formed of a hemispherical cup integrally formed with a cylindrical skirt and flange and is provided with a plurality of openings of semi-oval shape, each having a cutting edge arranged at the minor axis of the oval shape. The openings are situated such that, upon rotation of the cup, the cutting edges thereof overlap to provide a continuous cutting edge surface conforming generally to the shape of the cup.

摘要： In order to simplify production of clip removing forceps used to bend open skin clips, it is suggested that one of the two branch elements encircles the other in the shape of a U in the region of pivotal connection, that one of the two branch elements bears on its side walls facing the other branch element projections arranged at the axis of rotation, that the other branch element has circular recesses to accommodate these projections, that the projections have a circular cross section corresponding to that of the recesses, whereby two opposite side faces of these projections are flattened, and that a groove runs from the circular recess to the edge of the other branch element, the width of this groove corresponding at least to the distance between the flattened sides of the projections but being smaller than the diameter of the circular recess and this groove being aligned such that, in the operating position of the two branch elements, the curved side portions of the projections rest at least partially on cylindrical side walls of the recess.

摘要： A stapler, particularly for suturing skin wounds or incisions, is disclosed which comprises a channel in which a driver is advanced by a slide in the direction of an anvil surface. A staple magazine which extends substantially parallel with the driver includes a curved section which opens into the channel to deliver staples into the channel for engagement by the driver. During forward displacement of the driver, a projection on the driver presses a leaf spring to which the anvil surface is connected. The anvil surface at the forward end of the leaf spring is thereby brought into its operating position and is automatically moved back into its retracted position upon release of the spring after the driver is retracted. The curved section in the staple magazine enables the stapler to have a slim profile which does not obscure the working area during a stapling operation. After completion of a stapling operation, the anvil surface is automatically retracted from a closed, implanted staple.

A driver is mounted on the displaceable clamp holder rotatably about an axis crossing the longitudinal axis of the meshing bar and is formed with a toothed gear engaging the driving bar, the latter and the toothed gear forming a rack and pinion gearing.
