摘要： A coating composition contains an organic polyol, a polyepoxide, a polyisocyanate crosslinking agent, and a phenolic resin. The composition is flexible, having an elongation of at least 10 percent when cured. This coating composition is particularly suitable as a primer in preparing substrates with a multilayer coating having good flexibility.

摘要： A coating composition contains an organic polyol, a polyepoxide, a blocked polyisocyanate crosslinking agent, and a phenolic resin. The coating composition also can be formulated as a two package coating composition with a free polyisocyanate crosslinking agent. The composition is flexible, having an elongation of at least 10 percent when cured. This coating composition is particularly suitable as a primer in preparing substrates with a multilayer coating having good flexibility.

摘要： Coating compositions based on stable aqueous dispersions of particles of vinylidene fluoride polymer are prepared by bringing into admixture unstabilized particles of vinylidene fluoride polymer, liquid organic active solvent for the vinylidene fluoride polymer, liquid nonsolvent, which may be liquid organic nonsolvent, water or a combination of liquid organic nonsolvent and water, and, if not present in the liquid nonsolvent, water. The mixing is conducted such that the particles of vinylidene fluoride polymer are wetted by the dispersion vehicle, yet the particles are not substantially solubilized by the active solvent.

The silica is prepared by admixing simultaneously in a reactor aqueous alkali metal silicate, e.g., sodium silicate, acidifying agent, e.g., hydrochloric acid, and a water-soluble source of calcium, e.g., calcium chloride. The product contains from 6 to 9 weight percent calcium (as CaO). The silica product may be incorporated into a coating composition used for corrodible metallic surfaces.
