    摘要： A system controls dispensing different chemicals received from containers at a plurality of ports. Each container has data thereon that identifies the chemical within the container. The system reads the data from each container to determine which port is associated with each chemical. When a given chemical is required, the system activates a flow control device coupled to the port associated with that given chemical, thereby supplying the given chemical to a consuming device. Therefore regardless of into which port an operator places a particular chemical, the system automatically knows which port has which chemical and the dispensing is configured accordingly. Various mechanisms for storing the data on and reading the data from the container are described.

    摘要： An on-premises restaurant communication system for communicating a particular customer's table location to a food server at a central service counter. A communication device is mounted on each of the tables in the restaurant, and has a unique table identifier stored therein. The particular customer is provided with a data token on which a customer number is encoded. The customer selects a table and inputs the token in the communication device mounted on the selected table. In response to reading the customer number, the communication device sends a message to the central service counter that includes the unique table identifier and the customer number. There, the table identifier and the customer number are extracted from the received message, and a table location is determined and provided to the food server.

    摘要： A sensing arrangement for sensing the addition of reactants to a solution within a tank which includes a first inlet, a second inlet, and a reactant supply controller for controlling the addition of reactants into the tank through the first and second inlets. The first inlet is configured to supply a first reactant to the tank and the second inlet is configured to supply a second reactant to the tank. The sensing arrangement comprises a detector, such as a conductivity detector or an ion concentration detector, having a probe for measuring the presence of the reactants in the solution within the tank. The probe is positioned substantially adjacent the second inlet. The detector provides a mechanism for measuring the presence of and concentration of the first reactant in the solution while the first reactant is added to and mixed with the solution. The detector also provides a mechanism for measuring the presence of the second reactant in a portion of the solution substantially adjacent the second inlet as the second reactant is being added to the solution thereby detecting the influx of the second reactant as it is introduced into the tank.

    摘要： A combination surveillance and alerting system and method in a restaurant that serves take-out customers. A video camera monitors a parking space for take-out customers, and sends video to an image recognition program, which detects when a vehicle enters the parking space. The detection triggers a controller to start a timer and instruct an on-premises paging transmitter to page an employee responsible for serving takeout customers. The image recognition program detects when the employee enters a greeting zone for greeting customers, and the controller prepares an elapsed greeting time report for management. The image recognition program also detects when the vehicle leaves the parking space, and the controller prepares a total service time report for management.
