Abstract:
The invention relates to a method (20) for correcting an individual behavior for using a pair of spectacles in optimized conditions, said individual wearing frame (4). According to the invention said method comprises the following steps: —a step (24) of determining parameters that characterize the behavioral conditions of the individual using correcting means securely fastened to the frame of the frame (4) in the preceding various situations for a set time; —a step (26) of comparing said parameters with preset reference values; and —a step (28) of correcting the behavior of the individual using detecting means (1) that are securely fastened to the said frame (4), and that trigger when the difference between a parameter and the corresponding reference value diverges beyond a preset threshold value.
Abstract:
A process for determining a pair of personalized progressive ophthalmic lenses. and a computer program product associated to these processes. Right-handed persons and left-handed persons behave very differently when executing certain near vision tasks, such as writing on a sheet of paper. However, current lens designs do not take into account these behaviour differences. The comfort of wearing a pair of ophthalmic lenses can be improved for the wearer for whom the lenses are intended by adapting his near vision according to his handedness.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of selection of an ophthalmic lens suitable for correcting at least an optical impairment of an eye of a wearer who observes a screen. According to the invention the method comprises the steps of: determining at least a characteristic of posture of the wearer observing said screen, determining a dioptric power value associated to said vision zone allowing the wearer when wearing the ophthalmic lens to have an easier reading of said screen, determining at least one characteristic of filtering means to adjust the light exposure of the wearer to said screen, and determining the vision zone based on dioptric power value, characteristic of posture of the wearer and characteristic of filtering means so that the vision comfort of the wearer is optimized when wearing the ophthalmic lens while observing a screen.
Abstract:
A computer implemented method for determining an ophthalmic lens for providing to a wearer a comfortable vision when looking at electronic displays. The method includes: a wearer near vision electronic display use determining to determine at least an electronic display the wearer intends to use in a near vision situation; a wearer intermediate vision electronic display use determining to determine at least an electronic display the wearer intends to use in an intermediate vision situation; an usage priority rank determining to determine an usage priority rank between the near vision electronic display during the wearer near vision electronic display use determining and the intermediate vision electronic display during the wearer intermediate vision electronic display use determining; an ophthalmic lens determining to determine an ophthalmic lens from the at least one near vision electronic display or the at least one intermediate vision electronic display and the usage priority rank.

Abstract:
A method to select or to conceive/design lenses is provided. The method may be applied to lenses having effect of myopia control, visual fatigue relief, etc. In one aspect, a predictive model that ranks myopia control solutions according to visual, behavioral, and biometric parameter is provided. The predictive model may be built based on the myopic eye characteristics, the behavior of the wearers, and the defocus induced by the myopia control solution. In another aspect, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus for evaluating the efficacy of an ophthalmic lens in controlling at least one sightedness impairment (e.g., myopia) of at least one wearer of the ophthalmic lens are provided. The apparatus may determine, based on a predetermined relationship model, the efficacy of the ophthalmic lens for at least one wearer from representative data corresponding to the at least one wearer.
Abstract:
A method for determining optical power of an optical lens to be placed in front of an eye of a person, the method including: a first distance determining during which a first gazing distance is determined, which is the distance between the eye of the person and a first visual stimulus when the person gazes at the first visual stimulus in a given gazing direction with a first level of attention: a second distance determining during which a second gazing distance is determined, which is the distance between the eye of the person and a second visual stimulus when the person gazes at the second visual stimulus in the given gazing direction with a second level of attention different from the first level of attention; and an optical power determining during which the optical power adapted for the person is determined based on the first and second gazing distances.
Abstract:
A method for providing a personalized optical system for a wearer wherein the optical system characterizes a spectacle ophthalmic lens comprising the following steps: a) providing a visual performance level (VPL) value of at least one eye of the wearer; b) providing a set of rules linking at least the visual performance level of step a) with at least one optical criterion chosen among one or both of the two following optical criteria groups consisting of central vision optical criterion (CVOC) group and peripheral vision optical criterion (PVOC) group; c) calculating the physical and geometrical parameters of the personalized optical system or selecting the personalized optical system in an optical systems data base comprising a plurality of optical systems, so that to meet the set of rules of step b) according to the visual performance level data provided in step a).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for determining at least one visual behavior parameter of a person. The method includes the following steps: a step of encouraging the person to perform a visual test during which he observes at least one target position, a step of measuring an item of data that is representative of at least one viewing direction of the person during the visual test, a step of determining a reference viewing direction on the basis of the representative data measured, and a step of positioning, relative to the reference viewing direction, at least one measured target position that is determined, in a reference marker associated with the head of the person, on the basis of the data that is representative of the viewing direction of the person measured during the visual test.
