    摘要: A remote host controller includes USB ports and a network interface. A processing device in the remote host controller supports an IP stack in communication with a network and drivers in communication with a Universal Serial Bus attached to the USB ports. The remote host controller registers with hosts on the network. Registered hosts are sent communications regarding attachment and detachment of peripheral devices to/from the remote host controller. The registered hosts are selectively configured to be able to communicate with one or more of the peripheral devices. Communications between applications and the peripherals are transparent in that they operate as if directly attached to a USB port on the host computer.

    摘要: A hand-help Remote Control and an associated Cradle or Host Adapter communicate to send and receive data. The Remote is battery powered, has an LCD screen and buttons and is intended for thumb operation in either hand. The Cradle unit is attached to a portable Music Player (or video player) such as the Apple iPod® and communicates with the Remote. The Host Adapter connects to a computer running a Music Player Software Application and communicates with the Remote. The Cradle or Host Adapter communicate wirelessly with the Remote and enable the user to control a Music Player, display and navigate through the Music Player database, select a particular item to play on the player and/or change sound properties such as volume output of the Cradle unit. The LCD also displays the status of the player such as song or video currently playing, position into the selection, volume level and other items.

A method of ablating tissue comprises lifting the target mucosal tissue from underlying tissue and inserting a distal end of an endoscope to a desired position relative to the target mucosal tissue in combination with inserting an elongated member including an inflatable member mounted thereto through the endoscope to the desired position, the inflatable member including a conductive region having a first degree of energy conductivity and a non-conductive region having a second degree of energy conductivity, the second degree of energy conductivity being lower than the first degree of energy conductivity, inflating the inflatable member to place the conductive region in contact with the target mucosal tissue and supplying energy to the inflatable member to transfer energy from the conductive region to the target mucosal tissue.

    摘要: A side loading, wire torquing device includes a body portion having a channel in which a wire is fitted. In one embodiment, a slider is movable along the channel to secure the wire between the slider and the fixed surface in the channel such that rotation of the torquing device rotates the wire therein. In another embodiment of the invention, the torquing device includes a bottom and top section folded over a wire. In another embodiment, the channels impart a bend to the wire to increase the effective torque that can be applied to the wire by rotating the device. In yet another embodiment, the torquing device has a tapered shape and includes a ring that is slideable over the device to compress a wire in a channel. In all embodiments, the torquing device may include a clip to secure several looped coils of wire when not in use.
