Abstract: Systems and methods for automated ultrasound credentialing are described. In some embodiments, a credentialing system for issuing a sonographer credential to a sonography candidate includes an ultrasound probe coupled to a computing device and configured to generate ultrasound data. The computing device is configured to generate, based on the ultrasound data and as part of an automated review, an ultrasound examination score. The computing device is configured to transfer, based on the ultrasound examination score, the sonography candidate from the automated review to a manual review by a reviewer.

Abstract: An ultrasound system (1) includes an ultrasound probe (2), a mobile information terminal (3), and an external apparatus (4). The ultrasound probe (2) includes a transmission and reception circuit (22) that transmits an ultrasonic wave from a transducer array (21) and generates a sound ray signal, and a reception data generation unit that generates reception data before imaging based on the sound ray signal. The mobile information terminal (3) includes a camera unit (33) that acquires a view image. The external apparatus (4) includes a display controller (44) that displays an ultrasound image generated based on the reception data and the view image on an external monitor (45), and an input device (47). In a case where a probe freeze instruction is input from the input device (47), the transmission of the ultrasonic wave from the transducer array (21) is stopped.

Abstract: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus (1) includes a urinary bladder extraction unit (9), a feature quantity calculation unit (10), a candidate frame extraction unit (11), and a urine volume measurement unit (13). The urinary bladder extraction unit (9) extracts a urinary bladder region from ultrasound images of a plurality of frames. The feature quantity calculation unit (10) calculates a feature quantity related to the bladder region. The candidate frame extraction unit (11) extracts, from the ultrasound images of the plurality of frames, an ultrasound image of a frame for which the feature quantity becomes a local maximum, as an ultrasound image of at least one candidate frame that serves as a candidate subjected to measurement. The urine volume measurement unit (13) analyzes an ultrasound image of a measurement frame selected from the ultrasound image of the at least one candidate frame to measure a urine volume.

Abstract: Disclosed are a radiation imaging system, an image processing device, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having an image processing program recorded thereon which facilitate the confirmation of a positional relationship between an object of interest and a biopsy needle. A control unit of a console reconstructs a projection image obtained by tomosynthesis imaging to generate a tomographic image parallel (an x-y-axis direction) to an imaging surface in a state where a needle is inserted into a breast, and specifies an image of an object of interest from the tomographic image. The control unit generates a sectional image which includes the specified image of the object of interest and an image of the needle and intersects the imaging surface. The control unit generates an image of the needle from the projection image, synthesizes the generated image of the needle into the sectional image while aligning, and displays the sectional image.
