摘要: A vehicle having an ambient temperature sensor, a low voltage lithium-ion battery and a controller is provided. The controller is configured to monitor the ambient temperature sensor and based on a determination that an ambient temperature is below a threshold value, provide an alternating current power to the low voltage lithium-ion battery. The alternating current power causes the low voltage lithium-ion battery to heat.

摘要: Fuse configurations for a distributed power architecture of a vehicle is provided. The distributed power architecture includes a high-voltage battery pack having a plurality of batteries and a plurality of converters, each of the plurality of converters being configured to receive high-voltage power from one of the plurality of batteries and to provide low-voltage power to a low-voltage bus. The distributed power architecture also includes a plurality of fuses disposed on one or more of an input side and an output side of each of the plurality of converters and a vehicle controller with at least one communication link to each of the plurality of power converters. Each of the plurality of fuses are configured to selectively prevent current flow through one of the plurality of converters.

摘要: A system in a vehicle includes a first fuse connected between a power source and a load. The first fuse is an electronic fuse (eFuse) to disconnect the load from the power source via the first fuse based on opening a first fuse switch. The system also includes a second fuse connected between the power source and the load via a second fuse switch. The first fuse and the second fuse are part of a cluster of fuses. A controller opens the first fuse switch and keeps the second fuse switch closed based on the vehicle entering a key-off mode in which the vehicle is turned off.

摘要: A battery system for an electric vehicle includes at least one battery cell configured to store charge for powering an electric vehicle, a high voltage bus electrically coupled with the at least one battery, a DC-DC converter electrically coupled with the battery cell, a low voltage bus electrically connected between the DC-DC converter and at least one vehicle electrical component, and a cell monitor electrically coupled with the at least one battery cell and the DC-DC converter, wherein the cell monitor includes a current sensor configured to detect a current from the at least one battery cell to the DC-DC converter. The cell monitor includes a controller configured to estimate a state of charge of the at least one battery cell according to the current detected by the current sensor, and adjust switching operation of the DC-DC converter according to the current detected by the current sensor.

The low voltage bus is configured to provide low voltage power to at least one vehicle electrical component.

The electric drive system includes a first electric drive, a second electric drive, and a switchable battery including at least two battery packs that are selectively arranged in one of a series configuration and a parallel configuration. The electric drive system further includes a controller configured to control the configuration of the switchable battery, an operation of the first half-bridge buck converter, and the second half-bridge buck converter.

摘要: Examples described herein provide a method that includes receiving, at a vehicle comprising a first battery pack and a second battery pack, at least one of a first electric charge from a first charging station via a first charging port or a second electric charge from a second charging station via a second charging port. The method further includes determining, by a controller of the vehicle, a charging mode of the vehicle. The charging mode is selected from a group consisting of a dynamic balancing during independent multi-port charging mode, a dynamic balancing during independent port charging mode, or a dynamic balancing during parallel charging mode. The method further includes configuring, by the controller of the vehicle, a plurality of switches of a rechargeable energy storage system of the vehicle based at least in part on the determined charging mode.
