    摘要: A spindle shaper machine tool successively performs a plurality of operations on a work piece without removal and replacement of cutter heads on the spindle. The cutter heads are superimposed on the spindle, a fluid pressure jack quickly shifts the spindle to align a selected head with a work piece and the work piece is either manually or automatically advanced across the rotating selected tool. In the automatic shaper tool, a collar bearing stop for each cutter head is also provided on the spindle to abut the work piece or a template controlling the cutting of the work piece. The jack can be manually actuated by the operator or automatically actuated at the completion of a cutting cycle. Various combinations of cutter heads and bearing stop sets are mountable on the spindle to perform selected operations such as rough and finishing cuts, heavy-duty and light cuts, cutting and sanding, adding or modifying cuts and the like.

    摘要: A method and system for removing hydrocarbon deposits from a heat exchanger tube bundle using an organic solvent. After contact with a heat exchanger tube bundle, the contaminated organic solvent may be treated to remove solids, base waters, and/or suspended hydrocarbons, and then again contacted with a heat exchanger tube bundle for the removal of hydrocarbon deposits. This allows for the removal of hydrocarbon deposits from a heat exchanger tube bundle in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner. The treatment of the heat exchanger tube bundle is also preferably performed using a method and system by which, through contact of the heat exchanger tube bundle with an organic solvent, a large percentage of hydrocarbon deposits are removed from the heat exchanger tube bundle in a short period of time.

    摘要: Multiple fluid nozzles are mounted in a machine tool such that the cutting tool in the spindle is targeted with liquid or gas cutting fluid from multiple directions, providing better coverage and thereby more effectiveness. This provides more efficient and safer use of a machine tool by automating the aiming of fluids at a desired location. Multiple nozzles at respective multiple physical locations are preferably controlled by a single control unit, so they can be synchronized to maintain a common target point on a cutting tool, even if the nozzles are located asymmetrically or non-uniformly with respect to the spindle axis or target point. Preferably, modular nozzle assemblies can be configured for flexibility in mounting on the machine tool.
