    摘要: An optical fiber holder which is suitable for holding a plurality of optical fibers arranged side by side at uniform intervals is provided. This optical fiber holder includes a holder body and a presser member. The holder body has an optical fiber accommodating unit which accommodates connection portions of optical fibers respectively inserted in recess portions defined by first protrusions at uniform intervals. The presser member has second protrusions in positions corresponding to the first protrusions of the holder body, and covers the optical fiber accommodating unit. Thus, the optical fiber holder can hold a large number of optical fibers side by side at uniform intervals while maintaining high density.

    摘要: A method for producing a surgical knife of a very small size for use in ophthalmic surgery under a microscopic environment having a sharp edge without causing reflection of lights. The surgical knife comprises a handle, and a blade attached to the handle. The blade has a sharp polished cutting edge, a rough machined surface provided inside of the cutting edge having a relatively rough surface area, and an inner flat area. An anti-reflection treatment is provided on an upper and lower surfaces of the blade except for the cutting edge, thereby prohibiting reflection or emission of lights from the knife.

    摘要: A reinforcing and vibration-damping material has a laminate body which includes a constraining layer acting to reinforce an adherend to which the material is to be applied, a vibration-damping layer acting to damp vibrations in the adherend and a binder layer interposed between the constraining layer and the vibration-damping layer. Further, a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed on the vibration-damping layer of the laminate body, and a release liner is placed around the hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer. The constraining layer exhibits the advantageous effect of reinforcing the adherend, and comprises, for example, a hard material such as a metal. The binder layer comprises a pressure sensitive adhesive, a bonding agent or a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive. The vibration-reinforcing layer comprises a viscoelastic material containing unvulcanized rubber and a vulcanizing agent for example. The hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive layer comprises a hardenable pressure sensitive adhesive which is tacky in the uncured state but has a strong adhesive force when it is cured by heating, irradiation or being blocked from air. Thus constructed, the reinforcing and vibration-damping material has the advantageous effects of damping vibrations in and reinforcing the adherend.

    摘要: A method of recording a color image in such a manner that two toner images of different colors are formed on the basis of video signals supplied from an information processor for producing different colors, and the toner images are transferred to a sheet of recording paper so that the toner images overlap each other, is disclosed, in which method video signal portions for forming contiguous toner images of different colors at a recording position are extracted from the video signals, and one of the video signal portions is extended so that the toner image based upon the video signal portion is enlarged in the direction of the boundary between the contiguous toner images based upon the video signal portions, to prevent a gap having the ground color of the recording paper from generating between the contiguous toner images even when one of the contiguous toner images is spaced apart from the other toner image.
