摘要： A method, mobile device, network device, system, and software are devised for storing a received specification of one or more thresholds regarding when to provide uplink feedback. The mobile device receives a multimedia broadcast multicast service via high speed downlink packet access over a high speed physical downlink shared channel, and then determines whether to provide the uplink feedback about the packet access. This determination is based upon whether channel quality falls below one of the thresholds, or based upon whether indications about a need for retransmissions exceed one of the thresholds.

摘要： Several mobile station identifiers are allocated to one mobile station, one for each of a plurality of possible signalling channel structures, parameters, or both. When receiving the signalling channels, the mobile station searches for all identifiers allocated for it in the received signalling channels. When it finds one that matches, it may for instance check a mapping table (agreed at the connection setup between mobile station and the network by RRC signalling) to determine what this identifier means. The signalling channel structure, parameters, or both, used in the transmission may be implicitly or explicitly indicated by the identifier. The mobile station (User Equipment) should monitor the signalling channels in the normal way. Instead of looking for only one identifier, however, the mobile station should monitor several identifiers belonging to it.

The transmitter is structured and arranged to independently adjust a symbol rate of at least two signals and combine the two signals after adjusting the symbol rate. The transmitter then transmits the combined signal along one physical path. By adjusting the signal rate before combining the two signals, the transmitter optimizes the signal qualities of each of the signals.
