    Abstract: A device wake-up method and a communication apparatus are provided. The method includes: A first device determines wake-up information, where the wake-up information is used for waking up a second device, or is used for not waking up a second device; determines a wake-up sequence based on the wake-up information; and sends the wake-up sequence to the second device on a wake-up signal receiving occasion of the second device. A frequency domain resource occupied for transmitting a low power wake-up symbol is adjacent to the edge of the transmission bandwidth of the first device in frequency domain, so that impact of transmitting the low power wake-up symbol on spectrum efficiency of a primary communication link can be reduced, thereby helping ensure compatibility between a link for transmitting the low power wake-up symbol and the primary communication link.

    Abstract: A communication method includes determining, by a terminal device, first capability information, and sending the first capability information to a network device. The first capability information is useable to indicate that a transmission rate supported by the terminal device meets a rate condition, or that an overhead supported by the terminal device is less than a specified overhead. The rate condition includes at least one of the transmission rate supported by the terminal device exceeds a first data rate, a transmission rate of single-carrier scheduling supported by the terminal device exceeds a second data rate, or a sum of transmission rates of serving cells in all band combinations within a scheduled frequency range supported by the terminal device exceeds a third data rate. The first data rate, the second data rate or the third data rate is related to the specified overhead.
