The apparatus comprises a dispenser which is heated by microwaves and then used to dispense a material therefrom. 摘要： A curable silicone composition is provided that includes a silanol functional silicone fluid. A crosslinker reactive with the silanol functional silicone fluid is combined with the silanol fluid to yield a capped reactive silanol fluid. The composition is provided with a propellant in an aerosol container under pressure so as to expel the capped reactive silanol fluid along with a diluent such as a nonvolatile unreactive silicone, an organic plasticizer, a volatile organic solvent, or a combination thereof. A film produced from this composition provides a plastic or rubber substrate with a high gloss finish with desirable wear properties. The inclusion of the optional diluent and the optional propellant facilitates aerosol application of the curable silicone composition as a thin film coating. An additional attribute of a curable silicone composition as described herein is that a silicone coating cures from the capped reactive silanol fluid in ambient air at 20° Celsius in 60 minutes or less and is independent of cure catalysts that contain tin, titanate, zirconate or amine. A resultant coating is applied to the sidewall of a vehicle tire as an aesthetic and protectorant.

The corrosion-inhibiting compositions are cost efficient, easy to use and can be conveniently removed or replaced. The corrosion-inhibiting compositions include a putty-like base material that is pliable and has sufficient tackiness to be securely affixed to surfaces. Corrosion inhibiting compounds are combined with the base material. These compositions provide a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor for both direct and indirect contact with metallic objects.

摘要： A curable silicone composition is provided that includes a carboxylic acid scavenging reactant with an amount sufficient to reduce an odor associated with silicone curing. The carboxylic acid scavenging reactant illustratively includes a carbodiimide in the form of a monocarbodiimide or a polycarbodiimide; an aziridine; and a combination thereof. The composition optionally includes adjuvant provided to modify the physical or cure properties of the cured silicone. In particular, the composition is readily compatible with the inclusion of calcium carbonate, the use of which would otherwise cause gassing and/or curing upon storage. The composition optionally includes a condensation catalyst in the form of an organometallic compound with the metal ions of titanium, aluminum, tin, calcium, and zinc being particularly well suited for the function of catalyzing condensation reactions. A process for reducing acid emission from a RTV cured silicone is provided by adding a carbodiimide, an aziridine, or a combination thereof to a premanufactured RTV silicone composition containing acetoxy-terminated polysiloxane. The process is optionally provided with contacting a substrate to which the RTV silicone composition will be applied in intermediate layer of a carbodiimide, an aziridine, or a combination thereof.

摘要： A two-part RTV silicone preapplied compression gasket material for forming compression gaskets in place. The formulation includes a silanol terminated polyorganosiloxane, at least 5% by weight of the formulation of a tri- or tetra- methoxy or enoxy functional silane crosslinker, water, and, a condensation catalyst selected from the group consisting of stannous carboxylate compounds, dimethyl tin (IV) compounds and mixtures thereof. One of the two parts of the formulation includes the water component and the other of said two parts is a dry part and includes the crosslinker component.The formulation provides fast cure, fast development of compression set resistance and excellent ultimate compression set resistance.

摘要： An adhesive composition applicator includes a housing having sidewalls and a neck that tapers to an opening. The housing encloses a gelled adhesive composition. The housing has a cross-sectional area and the opening has a cross-sectional area less than that of the housing cross-sectional area. A cap is provided that engages the housing. A mechanism is provided for urging the gelled composition material from the housing through the opening. The neck optionally also includes a shield to prevent gelled adhesive composition from running down the neck and provides a barrier against gelled adhesive smear reaching the point of intersection between the cap and the housing. To facilitate application of gelled composition to a point of application, a spatula is provided adjacent to the opening.
