摘要: A method of monitoring a maximum available capacity of a battery includes providing a number of diverse end-of-discharge-voltage values. A counter is assigned to each of the end-of-discharge-voltage values. The battery is discharged. One of the end-of-discharge-voltage values at which the battery is discharged is determined. A counter reading of the counter assigned to the determined end-of-discharge-voltage value is incremented. The previous steps are repeated. The counter readings are read-off so as to obtain a number of read-off counter readings. Based on the read-off counter readings, a first factor representing a first measure of a decline in the maximum available battery capacity is determined.

摘要: The invention relates to a redundant module for decoupling short-circuit currents in a redundant voltage supply. The redundant module comprises at least two power supply units, and the number of inputs corresponds at least to the number of power supply units. Each input is routed via a separate current path to a common current node of an output for providing an output current. Each current path forms a decoupling section, and at least one measuring element for measuring the input voltage, the input current, and/or the input power as well as a control element for regulation purposes are assigned to each decoupling section.

摘要: The invention relates to an electronic power supply device, particularly a switched-mode power supply, for supplying power to a low-voltage load protected by a protective device, and to a method therefor. The invention also relates to a device for protecting a low-voltage load against an excess current and to an auxiliary power supply device for use with such a protection device. The conceptual core of the invention can be seen in providing measures which ensure that after a fault has been detected, for example a short circuit at the output, a current is supplied for a short period, for example 15 ms, which is of such a magnitude that a protective device can be reliably and quickly tripped. The period for this is selected in such a manner that electronic components, connected loads and feedlines are not damaged and destroyed.

摘要: The invention relates to uninterruptible power supply devices which make it possible to supply emergency power to a load, which is to be supplied, in the event of mains failure. The invention is based on the object of providing a device for supplying uninterruptible power, which device can be operated in a more energy-saving manner and in which the emergency power can be controlled in a rapid and safe manner. To this end, the uninterruptible power supply device (10) has a power transistor (42) which can be rapidly switched and can be used to connect a standby power source (60) to the output connections (100, 101) during emergency power operation. The output current can also be dynamically limited by driving the power transistor, which can be rapidly switched, in a corresponding manner. In addition, the input and output of the UPS device (10) are decoupled using a field effect transistor (22) that acts as a power transistor.
