Abstract:
A folding-carton gluing machine comprising a machine frame, an inserter, conveying means for the flat carton blanks, a crossbeam on the frame, carton working tools slidably mounted on the crossbeam, means for adjusting the position of the tools relative to a blank, the tools being movable from a working position which they are to occupy in the machine into a position in which they are spaced from the working position, and a sliding table for a flat carton blank adapted to be moved under the tools when the latter are spaced from their working position.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a lowering and pivoting rail mechanism for a carton filling machine for guiding and loading blanks into transport containers, in which the lowering rail can be lowered more or less vertically to the vicinity of the floor of the transport container or to a previously loaded layer of blanks and in which the pivoting rail can be moved into a position above the layer of blanks to be loaded.
Abstract:
A chain stitch or a double chain stitch sewing machine or sewing element of a sewing machine comprising three elements: a needle; a looper; and a spreader improved in such a way that a collision of any two of the elements during the sewing operations will not cause serious damage to the sewing machine and stop periods as a consequence thereof. It is provided that the sewing elements are formed such that at least one sewing element, in particular the spreader, will dodge or break at the predetermined breaking point due to its design and/or material properties.
Abstract:
A device for packing flat articles in transport containers includes a feeder for feeding the flat articles in imbricated form and a conveyor disposed downstream of the feeder, in travel direction of the flat articles. The conveyor has an at least approximately vertically extending end for discharging the articles into the transport containers for filling the transport containers therewith at a filling location. Equipment for further conveying the transport containers at the filling location includes two lateral belt conveyors disposed at the filling location for moving the transport containers forward during the filling thereof with the articles.
Abstract:
Switch apparatus for the positioning drive of a lowering and pivoting rail for the guiding of blanks into transport containers in a carton filling machine. With the pivoting rail and the aid of a belt running along the pivoting rail, previously imbricated delivered blanks are delivered to loading position in the transport container such as a carton. The lowering rail serves as a counter support so that the pivoting rail and lowering rail cooperate at the loading point of the blanks to guide and control the loading of the blanks as far as possible into their final position in the transport container.
Abstract:
A device for packing flat articles in transport containers includes a feeder for feeding the flat articles in imbricated form. A conveyor disposed downstream of the feeder, in transport direction of the articles, has an at least approximately vertically extending end for discharging the articles into the transport containers at a filling location. Electrically operated controllable servomotors serve as drives for the conveyor. Equipment is provided for further conveying the transport containers at the filling location.
Abstract:
A device for transferring continuously arriving articles, especially folded-bottom boxes lying with their ends that face each other along the direction of travel differing in thickness, to a packing machine, with a mechanism for distributing the articles onto two different conveyor mechanisms, one conveying the articles without rotating them to the upstream side of a merging mechanism and the other extending below the merging mechanism, through a 180.degree. curve, and back to its downstream side and a mechanism for alternately laying off flat articles, especially folded-bottom boxes, from each side of and onto a more or less horizontal merging mechanism that is especially intended for use with a device of the aforesaid type and that has two two-belt conveyor mechanisms that end at approximately the same level on each side of and outside the layoff area. The merging mechanism is a conveyor belt that branches off at an angle from the two conveyor mechanisms and extends to a packing machine. The mechanism for laying off the articles comprises curving the articles at an angle to the direction they are traveling in while they are being laid off.
Abstract:
A backup station in a carton filling machine for the delivery and packaging of premanufactured blanks into transport containers. The station is arranged between an imbrication station and a delivery belt which includes a rotation station. Within the backup station, a support rail is arranged in the direction of delivery of the blanks which provides support for the blanks. Two conveyor belts running along the support rail are raised above the surface of the support rail during normal operation and are lowered by the backed-up blanks during backed-up operation.
Abstract:
An apparatus in a folding box gluing machine has a catch hook mounted such that it can rotate about an axis in order to initiate a leading fold in a product. The apparatus further has a restoring device for the catch hook. The restoring device has at least one elastic element, the axis of the catch hook is connected to the elastic element by a rolling belt.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for blowing away particles of glue in a strip-gluing unit for folding box forming machines for gluing box blanks. Compressed air is blown from the side of a gluing disc of the gluing unit at an acute angle obliquely towards the direction of travel of the blank at the height of the nip between the blank and gluing disc so that on account of the high speed of the blanks and gluing disc, particles of glue which are thrown off are removed on the shortest path, without these particles splashing on the blanks and machine parts. The air is blown by an air-guide member, which comprises an air chamber, which is connected by lines to a source of compressed air. Starting from the air chamber is a bore whose axis is directed at the height of a nip at the acute angle. The air-guide member is attached in the folding box sticking machine independently of the gluing unit and is seated laterally beside the gluing disc and serves simultaneously to support the travelling blanks.
