    摘要： An optical disc recording apparatus records a digital content onto an optical disc so that the perfect copying of the digital content is difficult without proper authorization. The optical disc recording apparatus includes a formatter for generating a channel signal corresponding to primary digital information, a secret key storing unit for prestoring secondary digital information, a pseudo random number generator for generating a pseudo random number series, an XOR for logically inverting the pseudo random number series according to each bit of the secondary digital information, a PE modulator for generating a PE modulation signal according to the logically inverted pseudo random number series, a phase modulator for modulating the phase of each edge of the channel signal by a fixed slight time according to the value of the PE modulation signal, and a recording channel for forming recording marks on a DVD according to the modulated channel signal.

    摘要： A most probable path is selected from a number n (where n≧2) of paths of state transitions occurring from a first state Sk−j (where k≧3 and j≧2) at a time k−j into a second state Sk at a time k. The method includes the steps of detecting predetermined combinations of the first and second states Sk−j and Sk defining the n probable paths in a predetermined period j between the times k−j and k, and evaluating the reliability of a read signal, decoded in the period j, by |Pa−Pb|. Pa and Pb indicate the probabilities of state transition of first and second state transition paths in the period j. The first and second state transition paths are estimated to be the most probable and the second most probable, respectively, among the n probable paths defined by the combinations detected.

    摘要： An integrated circuit includes: a signal processor, which receives an input signal and generates a processed signal, representing processing information obtained by subjecting the input signal to predetermined processing, and at least one type of internal signal including internal information obtained during the processing; at least one memory storing the processing information; an interface exchanges signals with an external device; and a controller controlling the signal processor, memory and interface. On receiving a first instruction from the external device through the interface, the controller controls the signal processor and memory such that the processing information is once stored in the memory and then output to the external device via the interface. In response to a second instruction, the controller controls the signal processor and memory such that the internal information is once stored in the memory and then output to the external device via the interface.

The first waveform equalizer equalizes a read signal, corresponding to the information read out from the storage medium, thereby outputting a first equalized signal.
