摘要: An EGR system includes an exhaust gas recirculation pipe recirculating exhaust gas flowing through an exhaust pipe into an intake pipe upstream of a compressor of a supercharger. A swirling flow generator generates a swirling flow of intake air and exhaust gas along an inner surface of the intake pipe in order to centrifugally separate foreign matters from the intake air and the exhaust gas. A foreign-matters-collecting chamber collects the centrifugally separated solid foreign matters therein. The separated solid foreign matters are discharged through a discharge opening and a discharge pipe.

摘要: A silencer for attenuating a sound includes an inner duct in which gas flows, and an outer duct surrounding the inner duct with a gas layer formed between the outer duct and the inner duct. The sound is generated in one of an upstream side of the inner duct in a gas flow direction, a downstream side of the inner duct in the flow direction, and an inside of the inner duct. The inner duct includes a thin film over its entire surface. The film has a first reinforcement section formed in a direction parallel to the flow direction, and a plurality of vibrating surfaces. The film is bent at the first reinforcement section. Each combination of adjacent two of the plurality of vibrating surfaces is connected by the first reinforcement section. The first reinforcement section of the inner duct is fixed to the outer duct.

摘要: In a method for removing deposit that has attached to a main surface of a substrate from the main surface of the substrate using air knife units where a slit portion is formed so that a fluid can be discharged in band form, a fluid introduction path having an approximately uniform form in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which a number of air knife units move relative to the substrate is formed between the air knife units and the main surface of the substrate while the air knife units move relative to the substrate, a fluid is discharged toward the fluid introduction path from a slit that is formed in the rear portion of the above described air knife units, and then, passes through the fluid introduction path so as to be led to a wall surface that is formed so as to face the front portion of the air knife units or the fluid which has the appearance of a wall surface, and furthermore, deposit on the substrate that has attached to the substrate is led away from the main surface of the substrate, together with said fluid, via a fluid lead-out path of which the cross sectional area of the low path is greater than that of the fluid introduction path, and which is formed between the air knife units and the wall surface.

摘要: A vacuum suction head of the present invention can be applied to a large-sized liquid crystal display panel and can reliably suck an object to be sucked even if the object has undulation or flexure. The suction head has a shaft, which holds a suction pad, and gas is charged into and discharged from the suction pad through a suction hole. A casing holds the shaft through first and second springs so as to be movable in the axial direction. Since the suction pad is elastically supported by the springs, the suction pad can reliably suck the object to be sucked having undulation or flexure. The vacuum suction head can be used for a vacuum suction device and a working table.

摘要: A focus adjusting apparatus comprises a focus lens device provided in an optical system. The focus lens device comprises a transparent container of a rectangular prism form, a lens member supported in the container and formed of poly(acrylic amide) gel as a polymer gel substance having electro-reactive deformability, and a pair of transparent electrodes, the container being filled with water-aceton mixture solution. The lens member is formed by two lens materials having different proportions of acrylic acid group. A voltage is applied to the transparent electrodes under control of an automatic focusing circuit to cause electric field in the container, whereby the lens member is deformed in a concentric spherical form to form a lens. When the application of the voltage is stopped, the lens member returns to the initial form. A focal distance of the lens member is changed according to degrees of such deformation of the lens member.

摘要: A wiring-design aiding method for causing a computer to execute generating paths for buses so that the buses do not cross each other with respect to a wiring area including at least one wiring layer, the paths being represented by corresponding graphics The computer further executes verifying, for each bus, whether wires for nets belonging to the bus are successfully extracted from a component to which the bus is connected; and recording, in the wiring area, graphics representing the nets belonging to a bus for which it is determined in the verification that all the nets belonging to the bus are successfully extracted. The bus-path generation is re-executed with respect to the bus for which it is determined in the verification that at least one of the nets is not successfully extracted.
