    摘要: A method and apparatus for decoding the depth map of multi-view video data are provided. The method includes splitting a block of restored multi-view color video frame into a partition based on a pixel value of the block of the prediction-encoded and restored multi-view color video frame; obtaining a parameter indicating correlation between block partitions of the multi-view color video frame and block partitions of the depth map frame using peripheral pixel values of the block partitions of the multi-view color video frame and peripheral pixel values of the block partitions of the depth map frame corresponding to the block partitions of the multi-view color video frame with respect to each of the block partitions of the restored multi-view color video frame; and obtaining prediction values of corresponding block partitions of the depth map frame from the block partitions of the restored multi-view color video frame using the obtained parameter.

In a broadband wireless access communication system, if a base station receives a registration request message from a mobile station, and if the base station inserts information about service flows to be provisioned by a base station into a registration response message and transmits the registration response message to the mobile station after the registration request message is received, the mobile station determines if the mobile station transits into a normal operation mode corresponding to the information and exactly recognizes a time point at which the mobile station goes into the normal operation mode.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for controlling a sleep mode in a wireless access communication system. The apparatus determines a predetermined number of groups for grouping at least one subscriber terminal according to type information of a paging interval equal to the sum of the sleep interval and the listening interval, and registers the subscriber terminal in one group from among the groups on the basis of the paging interval type of the subscriber terminal. Upon receipt of the group information, the apparatus controls a base station to pre-recognize a terminal woken up at a predetermined time from among a plurality of terminals entering the sleep mode, resulting in reduction of the number of unnecessary paging message transmissions and improved efficiency of the wireless access communication system.

    摘要: A method is provided for reducing power consumption of a mobile station (MS) in a wireless communication system. If a period of time for state transition from a normal mode to a sleep mode or an idle mode expires, the MS transmits a request message for state transition to a corresponding operation mode to a base station (BS) with which the MS is currently communicating. Upon receiving a response message to the request message, the MS performs a state transition to the sleep mode or the idle mode. Upon detecting a change in service area in the sleep mode, the MS performs a state transition to the normal mode. Upon receiving a paging advertisement message from a corresponding BS in the idle mode, the MS performs a state transition to the normal mode.
