    摘要: The backlight assembly includes a first lamp unit and a second lamp unit. The first lamp unit generates light. The light guide plate has a light exiting surface, a light reflecting surface and side surfaces. The light reflecting surface surfaces the light exiting surface. The side surfaces connect the light exiting surface and the light reflecting surface. The side surfaces include a first light incident surface. The first lamp unit is disposed adjacent to the first light incident surface, and the first light incident surface inclines inwardly from the light exiting surface to form an inclination angle that is smaller than or substantially equal to (90−2 sin−1(n2/n1))°, wherein ‘n1’ is a refractive index of the light guide plate, and ‘n2’ is a refractive index of a material between the lamp and the light incident surface.

    摘要: An optical lens includes a recessed part and a refracting part. The recessed part has a substantially circular plan view and a substantially V shaped cross-section. The recessed part forms an angle of no more than an angle of about 20° with respect to a vertical line. The recessed part has a plurality of curved surfaces including different radii so that a light incident into the recessed part is totally reflected from the curved surfaces. The refracting part has a substantially circular plan view extended from the recessed part. A light incident into the refracting part and the reflected light from the recessed part are refracted from the refracting part. Therefore, a luminance uniformity and a color uniformity are improved.

    摘要: A mold frame that does not yellow with exposure to ultraviolet radiation is presented. The mold frame includes a first portion, a second portion and a silicone layer. The first portion supports the optical member. The second portion extends from the first member and reflects a light generated from the lamp. The first silicone layer is coated on the second portion. With the silicone layer formed on the mold frame, yellowing is prevented and display quality is improved.

    摘要: In a flat panel display and a method of fabricating the same, the flat panel display includes a substrate having a pixel region and alignment mark regions. The alignment mark regions are disposed at opposite sides of the pixel region and along the pixel region. A unit pixel array is arranged on the pixel region in a matrix manner. The alignment mark regions have at least one pair of alignment marks disposed thereon in an opposing manner. The alignment mark pairs are located in correspondence with respective columns of the unit pixel array.
