Abstract: A media registration system including a track to transport media in a transport direction from an intake end to a registration end, and a pivot shaft. A translator to register media in a lateral direction to the transport direction includes a translation element operatively coupled to the track and moveable along a translation axis in the lateral direction, and a driver to drive the translation element a translation distance along the translation axis to rotate the track about the pivot shaft to move the registration end a selected registration distance in the lateral direction, the translation distance proportional to the selected registration distance.

Abstract: A printer includes a printhead assembly, a service station assembly, and a controller. The printhead assembly includes nozzles to eject fluid drops. The nozzles are divided into a least two groups with each group assigned a burst drop count, a post-burst delay, and a burst order. The service station assembly is to receive fluid ejected from the nozzles during spits. The controller is to control a spit of the printhead assembly by ejecting fluid from the nozzles of each group based on the burst drop count, the post-burst delay, and the burst order of each group until a target drop count for the spit is reached.

The device may include a plurality of clamps to control alignment of the sheet of print media on the stack of printed media when the sheet channel moves outboard from the sheet of print media to allow the sheet of print media to fall onto the stack of printed media, wherein the plurality of clamps sequentially pin the sheet of print media to the stack of printed media from a middle portion of the sheet of print media outward.
