    摘要: Disclosed is a molten carbonate fuel cell comprising an electrolyte body sandwiched between a pair of electrodes, outflow of an electrolyte from the electrolyte body being diminished to suppress an increase of the internal resistance and occurrence of a gas crossover, which accompany the outflow of the electrolyte, so as to increase the life time of the fuel cell. The molten carbonate fuel cell of the present invention comprises a pair of conductive electrodes, an electrolyte body sandwiched between the pair of electrodes and including a porous body containing a retaining material and a reinforcing material and an electrolyte impregnated in the porous body and containing an alkali carbonate mixture, the retaining material containing fine particles having an average particle diameter of 0.2 to 0.6 .mu.m and the reinforcing material containing short fibers having a diameter of 0.5 to 5 .mu.m and a length of at most 50 .mu.m, fuel gas supplying means for supplying a fuel gas to one of the pair of electrodes, and oxidant gas supplying means for supplying an oxidant gas to the other of the pair of electrodes.

The molten carbonate fuel cell includes a pair of conductive electrodes, an electrolyte body sandwiched between the pair of electrodes and constituted by a porous body containing as a filler at least two heterogeneous particles selected from the group consisting of LiAl.sub.x O.sub.y (4.5.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.5.5 and 7.25.ltoreq.y .ltoreq.8.75), LiAl.sub.a O.sub.b (0.89.ltoreq.a .ltoreq.1.11 and 1.80.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.2.20), lithium zirconate, and stabilized zirconia, and an electrolyte consisting of an alkali carbonate mixture impregnated in the porous body, fuel gas supplying member for supplying a fuel gas to one of the pair of electrodes, and an oxidant gas supplying member for supplying an oxidant gas to the other of the pair of electrodes.

    摘要: There is proposed a molten carbonate fuel cell of high performance and long life which is provided with an oxidizing gas side-collector plate having on its surface a non-stoichiometric composite oxide layer excellent in electric conductivity and corrosion resistance, and hardly attracting electrolyte. This molter carbonate fuel cell comprises a unit cell comprising an electrolyte body formed of a porous body impregnated therein with a carbonate, a cathode disposed on one main surface of the electrolyte body, and an anode disposed on the other main surface of the electrolyte body, corrugated collector plates, disposed alternatively on a surface of the anode and on a surface of the cathode, and interconnectors, each being disposed on a surface of each of the collector plates, wherein the collector plate disposed on the cathode comprises a main body made of austenitic stainless steel, an Fe-Cr-Ni alloy layer covering a surface of the main body and consisting of 23 to 45 wt % of Fe, 12 to 27 wt % of Cr, the balance of Ni and not more than 1 wt % of unavoidable impurities, and a nickel-ferrite-based non-stoichiometric composite oxide layer formed on a surface of the Fe-Cr-Ni alloy layer.

    摘要: An amorphous alloy for a magnetic head has a composition which may be represented asCo.sub.100-T-X-Y-Z Re.sub.T Hf.sub.X B.sub.Y Si.sub.Z,where T, X, Y and Z satisfy the conditions of 0.2.ltoreq.T.ltoreq.1.5, 6.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.15, 3.ltoreq.Y.ltoreq.8 and 0.ltoreq.Z.ltoreq.0.01. Such an amorphous alloy has a high crystallization temperature, said temperature being higher than 500.degree. C., and does not lower the effective magnetic permeability, even if gradual cooling is performed after heat treatment. A magnetic head having a core consisting of such an amorphous alloy is not deteriorated in its magnetic properties, even if the head is made by glass bonding.
