    摘要: An electrical connection box for a vehicle has bus bars providing terminals which stand up close to each other, and an insulation plate through which the terminals project. A case member covering the insulation plate provides housing spaces for the terminals. A partitioning wall of the casing separating the housing spaces contacts the upper end of an upstanding wall of the insulation plate. One of the partitioning walls and the upstanding walls has a recess and the other has a projection received in the recess. This prevents liquid passage from one housing space to the other, and minimizes risk of current leak between terminals.

    摘要: A connection structure is between bus bars and relay terminals in an electrical connection box to be mounted on an automobile. Each bus bar is produced by punching an aluminum-based metal plate into a desired circuit configuration. An end of each bus bar is bent so that the end is connected to each respective relay terminal. Each bus bar end is welded to the respective relay terminal. Connection parts between the bus bars and the relay terminals are embedded in a molded insulation. Alternatively, grease is applied to and fills in exteriors and clearances of the connection parts.

    摘要: An electrical connection box for a vehicle is to be mounted in an engine compartment and connected to a voltage source of the vehicle having a nominal maximum voltage of not less than 14V. The box has a casing having a rear wall which in use is mounted against an upstanding wall of the vehicle, a front wall and side walls and a bottom wall sloping downwardly. The bottom wall has a water drainage hole at its lowermost portion adjacent said rear wall. Electrical circuit insulation plates are mounted with main faces parallel to the rear wall and bus bars are mounted on said main faces. Electrical relay receiving elements, electrical fuse receiving elements and electrical connector receiving elements are located on at least one of the front and side walls. The arrangement reduces risk of problems due to water ingress.

    摘要: An electrical connection box is provided for a vehicle which has a low-voltage battery of maximum output voltage selected from 14V and 28V, and a high-voltage battery of output voltage higher than that of said first battery structure. The electrical connection box has an insulation plate and, fixed on one face of said insulation plate, first bus bars connected in use to the first battery and second bus bars connected in use to the second battery so that the first and second bus bars are at different potentials. In order to reduce a risk of electrical leakage paths on the insulation plate, at least one of the following features is present: (i) the first bus bars and the second bus bars are separated on the face of the insulation plate by an air insulation zone of width in the range of from about 1 mm to about 30 mm, (ii) an insulation wall stands up on the insulation plate between the first bus bars and the second bus bars, (iii) the second bus bars are embedded in the insulating material.

    摘要: An electrical cable is used to form an internal circuit in an electrical connection box to be mounted on an automobile. An aluminum-based metal conductor is covered with a heat-resistant resin, such as PE (polyethylene) or PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). The conductor is a single core wire or a twisted core wire, which has a plurality of element wires. The conductor is pushed into an insulation displacement slot in an insulation displacement terminal. The insulation displacement terminal is made from an aluminum-based metal or a copper-based metal. A welding material, made of an iron-based metal, welds a contact portion between the conductor and a blade section on an inner peripheral edge of the insulation displacement slot.
