    摘要: A flexing strip (41) is formed on a housing (20). An interference part (63) is formed on a fit-on detector (50). A distinguishing part (46) having a color different from the fit-on detector (50) is formed on the flexing strip (41). The flexing strip (41) interferes with the interference part (63) and deforms while moving the fit-on detector (50) from a wait position to a detection position. The flexing strip (41) is released from an interference state with the interference part (63) and elastically restores to its original state when the fit-on detector (50) has reached the detection position. A position of the distinguishing part (46) relative to the interference part (63) changes before and after a flexing of the flexing strip (41) so that the distinguishing part (46) is exposed and can be seen from a distinguishing position.

A slider (30) is mounted in second housing (10) and engages a cam (43) in the first housing (150) to generate a cam action that helps to connect the housings (10, 150). The slider (30) has at least one retaining portion (136) that secondarily locks properly inserted terminal fittings (112) in the second housing (10). An inability to move the slider (30) provides an indication that at least one terminal fitting (112) is not inserted properly.

A connection detecting member (70) is movable along the surface of the housing (20) between a retracted position and a detection position. The connection detecting member (70) has a shorting terminal mounting portion (85) into which a shorting terminal (60) is mounted. The shorting terminal (60) holds the terminal fittings (50) in a shorted state and releases the shorted state as the two housings (20, 100) are connected properly and the connection detecting member (70) reaches the detection position. The connection detecting member (70) is arranged at a height position overlapping a deformation space for a lock arm (40) between the housing (20) and the lock arm (40). The shorting terminal mounting portion (85) projects lateral to the lock arm (40) while extending along the surface of the housing (20).
