摘要： A cornering lamp system for a vehicle which changes direction of the headlamps in conjunction with the operation of the vehicle's steering mechanism. The headlamps are moved in discrete steps by use of a stepper motor.The headlamps move in the direction which the vehicle is turning, and the headlamp closest to the center of rotation moves prior to the headlamp further from the center of rotation. A delay circuit causes the headlamps to move a predetermined period of time after the direction of the steering wheel is changed.

摘要： A vehicle headlamp is provided with: a frame; a lamp unit, which includes a first and a second connection sections and, which is rotatable with respect to the frame; a slider connected to first connection section and which is supported on the frame so as to be movable in a front-rear direction; a rotor connected to the second connection section and which is supported on the frame so as to be turnable in a horizontal direction; a drive operation section for moving the slider in the front-rear direction; and a rotation operation section for turning the rotor in the horizontal direction. The first connection section and the second connection section are positioned so as to be separated from each other substantially in the up-down direction.

摘要： A shade for screening part of reflected light from a light source is rotated between a low beam and a high beam positions providing a different amount of screened light. The beam switching device comprises a tension coil spring for elastically biasing the shade toward the low beam position and a solenoid constructed to press against the shade against the elastic biasing force of the tension coil spring so that the shade rotates to reach the high beam position. The solenoid is constructed to simply press against the shade. The beam switching device can be assembled to a reflector unit only by disposing the solenoid and the tension coil spring at predetermined positions, respectively.

The slide shaft part of the aiming screw slidably engages the slide hole of the fastener member, and the fastener member is prevented from rotating with respect to the lamp housing.

摘要： An automotive headlamp including a gear apparatus having a cylindrical gear shaft supporting wall extending from an opening edge of a shaft insertion hole formed in a supporting wall of a lamp housing, the gear shaft supporting wall being formed on an edge surface thereof with slits or protrusions, a gear shaft having a gear part which is provided at a surface thereof facing the edge surface of the gear shaft supporting wall with projections or slits which engage with the slits or projections of the gear shaft supporting wall, the gear shaft further including an engagement groove formed on an outer peripheral surface of a portion in the vicinity of the other end thereof, and a fastener engaging with the engagement groove for holding the gear shaft in position when it is inserted into the gear shaft supporting wall and the shaft insertion hole. The fastener is provided with resilient pieces extending outward from an outer peripheral edge thereof. The resilient pieces incline toward the supporting wall side and resiliently abut against the supporting wall. During operation, the resilient pieces are deformed to thereby disengage the protrusions or slits of the gear shaft from the slits or protrusions of the gear shaft supporting wall.

摘要： A vehicle lamp includes a lamp body having a front opening, a transparent cover covering the front opening to form a lamp chamber, and a lamp unit, which forwardly irradiates light, disposed in the lamp chamber. The vehicle lamp includes an aiming device having an output shaft coupled to one of an upper surface and a lower surface of the lamp unit, and a fulcrum portion coupled to the other of the upper surface and the lower surface of the lamp unit. The output shaft is movable in a front-and-rear direction with respect to the lamp body, and is rotatable around an axis extending in a vertical direction. The fulcrum portion supports the lamp unit by a single fulcrum allowing the lamp unit to be tilted in the vertical direction and in a horizontal direction.

The tilting device comprises an adjust rod being rotatable and displaceable in the fore and aft directions and supported on the supporting member with the front end being connected to the tiltable member and the rear end projecting rearward of the supporting member, and a drive mechanism for rotating the adjust rod and being mounted on the rear surface of the supporting member. The drive mechanism comprises an output shaft slidably and irrotatably connected to the rear end of the adjust rod, a detecting device for detecting the position of the adjust rod and disposed coaxially with the output shaft, a drive mechanism for rotating the output shaft and a transmit mechanism for trasmitting the rotation of the output shaft to a rotatable portion of the detecting device.
