摘要: An outboard motor steering system includes a hydraulic fluid supply mechanism connected to the steering hydraulic cylinder to supply hydraulic fluid thereto disposed in a space formed between the stern brackets and the swivel case. In other words, since the hydraulic fluid supply mechanism is incorporated into the outboard motor as a unit, the structure can be made simpler than that of the related art and the number of parts in the entire system can be reduced and moreover the work of installation into the boat's hull can be simplified. Also, operating efficiency is improved for an electric motor serving as the source of driving force for a hydraulic pump that supplies hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder used for steering, and power consumption is reduced.

摘要: A structure for fitting a generator stator to an engine is provided which allows generator stators having different shapes to be fitted selectively to a common engine main body. In order to selectively fit a first or second generator stator having different shapes from each other to the outside wall of an engine main body, a plurality of first fitting bosses for bolting the first generator stator and a plurality of second fitting bosses for bolting the second generator stator are provided at different positions on the outside wall.

摘要: In an outboard engine, an electric device is attached, utilizing a cooling water passage cover for closing a recessed part constituting part of a cooling water jacket, to the cover via a boss part, thus providing a compact electric device mounting structure with no such parts projecting from a side of an engine as in a conventional box member. An engine starting apparatus of the outboard engine is provided with an ignition device and a starter motor connected to a battery, and an AC generator is connected to the battery via an electric device having voltage restricting and rectifying functions. When it is cranked by the starter motor or a starter pulley, the engine is started by the ignition device operated by the battery. As it is cranked by the starter pulley while the battery is discharging, the ignition device is actuated by a current generated by the AC generator and rectified by the electric device to thereby start the engine. As a result, the AC generator provided in the engine starting apparatus of the outboard engine can be made small, and high ignition performance can be achieved by either the starter motor or manually.

摘要: An electronic fuel injection system for an engine with a self-triggered ignition system is provided with means for detecting the time interval between two adjacent voltage signals which are induced before and after an ignition signal in a primary winding of the ignition coil, and have a polarity opposite that of the ignition signal. The latest two time intervals which have been detected are compared to each other, and according to the comparison result, one of said two voltage signals is determined as a specific signal for obtaining a fuel injection timing.
