    摘要: A hydraulic control system for use in an automatic transmission of a vehicle, wherein the automatic transmission comprises a plurality of engaging devices including a low speed engaging device for achieving a relatively low gear ratio and a high speed engaging device for achieving a relatively high gear ratio. The hydraulic control system comprises a pump for generating a hydraulic pressure; and a selector having a plurality of manually selectable positions, for supplying the hydraulic pressure to a selected engaging device. A plurality of electromagnetic valves corresponding in number to said plurality of engaging devices, are each arranged between a corresponding one of the engaging devices and the selector, for controlling the intensity of the hydraulic pressure supplied from the selector to the corresponding engaging device in accordance with operating conditions of the vehicle. A pressure regulating valve, arranged between the selector and the pump, reduces the hydraulic pressure supplied from the pump to the selector when a hydraulic pressure signal is supplied. A switching valve is movable between a supply position in which the hydraulic pressure is supplied to the pressure regulating valve, and a discharge position in which the hydraulic pressure is discharged from the pressure regulating valve, the switching valve being switched to the supply position when the hydraulic pressure supplied to the high speed engaging device through the electromagnetic valve associated with the high speed engaging device becomes higher than a predetermined value.

    摘要: The gear ratio of a belt-type continuously variable transmission is changed by increasing or decreasing the hydraulic pressure applied to an oil chamber for a drive pulley by a ratio control valve. A spool of the ratio control valve is driven by a normally opened solenoid valve and a normally closed solenoid valve. In a lower gear ratio range, the gear ratio is controlled by controlling the duty rate of the normally opened solenoid valve, and in a higher gear ratio range, the gear ratio is controlled by controlling the duty rate of the normally closed solenoid valve. When any trouble is generated, the gear ratio is held at an intermediate value by bringing both the duty rates of the normally opened solenoid valve and the normally closed solenoid valve into 0% or 100%. Thus, it is possible to finely control the gear ratio of the belt-type continuously variable transmission and, when any trouble is generated, the gear ratio can be held at the value intermediate between a LOW value and an OD value.
