摘要: Solid copolymers are produced by copolymerizing a mixture of: (A) at least 30% by weight of a monomer having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is H or CH.sub.3 and R.sub.2 is an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 14 carbon atoms; (B) from 3 to 20% by weight of an ethylenic .alpha., .beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, or from 3 to 40% by weight of glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate; and (C) from 0 to 67% by weight of a monomer copolymerizable with said monomers (A) and (B). Preferably, the mixture is first bulk-polymerized until conversion to the copolymer is from 10 to 80% by weight and the polymerization is completed by suspension-polymerization. Thermosetting solid coating compositions are produced by mixing a major proportion of a solid copolymer so produced with a minor proportion of a cross-linking compound or with an epoxy resin containing at least 2 epoxy radicals in the molecule in presence of a tertiary amine curing accelerator.

摘要: Diesel engine is operated in a first warm-up mode in an early warm-up period after startup so as to accelerate activation of the catalyst, and then in a second warm-up mode in a late warm-up period after the early warm-up period so as to maintain activity of the catalyst. The first warm-up mode provides more energy to the catalyst with exhaust gases than the normal operation mode of the diesel engine. The second warm-up mode provides exhaust gases of higher temperature to the catalyst than the normal operation mode.

摘要: An apparatus for monitoring automatically plural sheets of printed papers, includes a plurality of photosensors placed across the printed papers' moving direction for scanning and detecting a printed surface of each printed paper to produce analog signals designating dark levels of the printed surface thereof when each of the printed papers is being transferred, an AD converter for converting the analog signals into digital signals at a plurality of sampling points, a standard memory for storing such digital signals, a plurality of monitoring memories for storing such digital signals, circuitry for comparing the digital signals of the standard memory with the digital signals of the monitoring memories at the corresponding sampling points to decide whether or not the digital signals of the monitoring memories are within a tolerance range of the digital signals of the standard memory so that either "NO" signals or "YES" signals are produced, circuitry for counting only such "NO" signals to produce an "irregular" or "non-identity" signal when the number of such "NO" signals sums to a predetermined value, and circuitry for electrically compensating shifting of the papers when the digital signals of the standard memory are compared with the digital signals of the monitoring memories.
