    摘要: A system and method for controlling an automatic transmission in a vehicle drive train including an engine, the automatic transmission and a fluid coupling for transmitting the rotation of the engine to the transmission. The transmission includes a clutch applied when a forward running range is selected; a second one-way clutch which is applied, when the first clutch is applied, to establish a forward 1st speed; and a brake for locking the one-way clutch, when applied, to block the reverse rotation of the output shaft of the transmission. A first hydraulic servo receives a first oil pressure for applying the first clutch and a second hydraulic servo receives a second oil pressure for applying the brake. When a forward running range is selected, with the vehicle stopped, the engine idling and a foot brake engaged, the oil pressure of the first hydraulic servo is lowered from the oil pressure at the 1st speed whereas the oil pressure of the second hydraulic servo is raised to a modulated pressure. The modulated pressure is set to generate, against the reverse force on the vehicle facing up an incline, a resistance corresponding to the forward driving force generated when the engine is idling in 1st speed.

    摘要: An automatic transmission control system providing a neutral control state in which there is no slipping engagement of a first clutch which is engaged upon selection of a forward range and, as a result, the vehicle is not subjected to idling vibration. The fuel consumption reducing effect of the neutral control state is maintained and there is no heating and consequent deterioration of the friction material of the clutch. The control system includes a hydraulic servo for operation of the clutch, an input side speed sensor for detecting the input side speed of a fluid power coupling device connecting the transmission to the output of an engine, an output side speed sensor for detecting the output side speed of the fluid power coupling device, and a controller. The controller includes differential speed calculator, differential speed change detector, a pressure increasing device for increasing the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo by a set pressure when the differential speed has not changed, and a pressure reducing device for reducing the hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic servo by a set pressure when the differential speed has changed.

    摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission operates a clutch for disengaging a transmission mechanism when a vehicle is stopped and idling with the brake pedal depressed while the gear shift is in a forward gear. The clutch is maintained at a drag state (friction elements disengaged but oil causing some torque transmission) bordering a slip state (friction elements engaged) When a neutral control is started, the clutch is released until the retraction of the piston of the hydraulic servo is started. When the rate of change in a rotational difference does not exceeds a reference rate of change even after a set time has elapsed, booster means of specific release state holding means decides that the clutch is in a drag region, and raises an oil pressure to be fed to the hydraulic servo, by a set pressure. On the other hand, when the rate of change exceeds the reference rate and the rotational difference increases, irrespective of the lapse of a set time, the first pressure reducing means of the specific release state holding means decides that the clutch is in a slip region, and lowers the oil pressure to be fed to the hydraulic servo, by a set pressure. As a result, the clutch is always held in a state which is immediately before the transfer from the drag region to the slip region.

    摘要: A hydraulic pressure control apparatus for an automatic transmission including a microprocessor-based control unit for controlling hydraulic pressure supplied to hydraulic servos of friction engagement elements. The control apparatus calculates a target hydraulic pressure P.sub.TA for a condition at the start of the inertia phase in accordance with the input torque, and a gradient based on the target hydraulic pressure and a predetermined time t.sub.TA. A first up-sweep of hydraulic pressure is performed by the apparatus with the gradient. A relatively gradual gradient .delta.P.sub.TA is set based on a target rotation change rate for the input rotational speed to provide a predetermined change amount when the hydraulic pressure becomes the target hydraulic pressure P.sub.TA. The control apparatus performs a second up-sweep with the gradient .delta.P.sub.TA. When the rotational speed change .DELTA.N of the input rotation becomes a rotation change start-determining rotational speed dN.sub.S, the control apparatus feedback-controls the hydraulic pressure with a predetermined gradient while referring to the input rotation change. Further, the control apparatus detects the target shift start time and the rotational speed change rate at the target shift start time to correct the target hydraulic pressure P.sub.TA, the gradient .delta.P.sub.TA of the second sweep section, and the target shift start time t.sub.aim.

    摘要: A control system for control of a clutch interposed between a fluid transmission unit and a speed change unit in a vehicular automatic transmission. The control system includes a first R.P.M. detector for detecting clutch input side R.P.M. and a second R.P.M. detector for detecting clutch output side R.P.M. A failure is decided if the clutch input/output R.P.M. difference is over a set value which is set on the basis of the clutch input/output R.P.M. difference when the starting operation is detected by the starting operation detector. A fail-safe feature causes a shift output to a higher speed gear stage, over-riding a control signal from the pressure booster, when a failure is decided, to output the change signal to the solenoid of the control signal oil pressure solenoid valve to thereby bring the change-over valve into the first position.

    摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission, which receives the rotation of the engine through a fluid coupling, and which has a clutch applied when a forward running range is selected and released when a neutral range is selected and a range selecting mechanism for selecting a range. The control system includes a range detector for detecting the selected range, a hydraulic circuit and a control unit. The hydraulic circuit includes a hydraulic servo which is fed an oil pressure for applying the clutch and a manual valve movable between at least a forward range position for generating a forward range oil pressure and a neutral range position, by operation of the range selecting mechanism. A regulator valve regulates the forward range oil pressure to generate a regulated oil pressure. A solenoid valve is turned ON/OFF by the control unit to generate a signal oil pressure for switching a change-over valve between a first position feeding the forward range oil pressure to the hydraulic servo and a second position feeding the regulated oil pressure to the hydraulic servo. The control unit delays output of the signal solenoid valve, if a switching from the forward running range to the neutral range is detected by the range detector, so that the change-over valve remains in the second position until lapse of a set time period, and is then moved to a first position after the set time period has elapsed.
