Abstract: An antenna device includes a plurality of dipole antennas and a port. Each of the dipole antennas is connected to the port. The dipole antennas are arranged around the port. Each of the dipole antennas comprises two ends. The device further includes a plurality of passive elements. The ends of the dipole antennas and the passive elements are interchangeably arranged around the port such that each of the passive elements is situated between ends of two different antennas from the plurality of dipole antennas. One or more switches are configured to switch between an omnidirectional state, in which the ends of the dipole antennas are not connected to the plurality of passive elements, and a directional state, in which at least one end of one of the passive elements is connected to at least one end of one of the antennas.

Abstract: An antenna for a wireless communication device, such as a Wi-Fi access point is provided. The antenna includes an electrically conductive radiation structure including a plurality of radially extending radiation slots, each of which has an open outer end at a perimeter of the electrically conductive radiation structure and defines a respective radiation portion of the electrically conductive radiation structure. The antenna includes a feeding network configured to feed an RF signal to the electrically conductive radiation structure, the feeding network includes a plurality of feeding arms configured to feed the RF signal into each radiation portion of the electrically conductive radiation structure for exciting each radiation portion to emit electromagnetic waves. The antenna includes a grounding structure including an electrically conductive grounding surface, which is spaced from and faces each radiation portion of the electrically conductive radiation structure for guiding the electromagnetic waves emitted by each radiation portion.

Abstract: The application provides an antenna and a communications device, and pertains to the field of antenna technologies. The antenna includes a horizontally polarized antenna and a vertically polarized antenna that are disposed in a superposition manner. The horizontally polarized antenna includes a metal sheet, and the metal sheet can be separately connected to a double-sided parallel strip line in the horizontally polarized antenna and a first conductor of a coaxial cable. A diameter of a maximum inscribed circle of the metal sheet is greater than a line width of the double-sided parallel strip line, and both the metal sheet and the coaxial cable are located on a first side of a substrate. Therefore, the metal sheet can effectively suppress an induced current in the coaxial cable, and impact of the induced current on the vertically polarized antenna can be reduced.
