The color transforming device includes a color transformation memory for storing coefficient information in order to process a color transformation of an input image based on brightness of the input image; and a color transformation processing unit for correcting a color of the input image by using the coefficient information stored in the color transformation memory and outputting the color corrected input image. The present invention provides a color transforming method suitable to a display device automatically controlling output brightness according to brightness of input image by performing a color transformation according to the brightness of input image.
