Abstract: Curation of a corpus of a cognitive computing system is performed by reporting to a user a cluster model of a parse tree structure of discrepancies and corresponding assigned confidence factors detected between at least a portion of a first electronic document and a second or more electronic documents in the information corpus. Responsive to a selection by the user of a discrepancy cluster model, drill-down details regarding the discrepancy are returned to the user, for subsequent user selection of an administrative action option for handling the detected discrepancy to curate the information corpus.

Abstract: Travel itineraries are automatically prepared based upon user interests and sentiments inferred by deep semantic analysis of user-commented and user-preferred digital works of literature by receiving interests and associated sentiment levels for at least one user according to a deep semantic analysis of a plurality of works of literature, wherein the works of literature have been rated, commented, or both rated and commented by the user; searching repositories of travel items to find one or more matching travel items to the received more interests and associated sentiment levels; and preparing at least one travel itinerary including at least one found matching travel item. Travel itineraries may be prepared responsive to a user-initiated trip planning session, responsive to notification of a new travel item's availability, periodically, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A new document is processed for ingestion into a corpus of a cognitive computing system by associating with a category of documents already contained within the corpus, such as a topical category. Then, the cognitive computing system is engaged automatically to query one or more questions previously-associated with the category to discover discrepancies between the new document and those already in the corpus. If a discrepancy is found, a confidence factor based upon extracted natural language entities and relationships is assigned to the discrepancy, and it is flagged and reported to a user for reconciliation.

Abstract: An approach is provided for performing an item tracking operation. The item tracking operation includes defining a knowledge model where the knowledge model correlates usage of an item away from a parked location with other locations visited by a user. The item tracking operation also includes tracking the item when the item is removed from the parked location where the tracking includes determining when the item is moved to a particular location. The item tracking operation also includes determining whether the item is returned to the parked location and notifying the user when the item was not returned to the parked location where the notifying calculates a probability that the item was left behind at the particular location.
