摘要： A device designed for coating a material web with a coating medium includes a coater, a metering/smoothing device positioned downstream of the coater in the direction of feed of the material web, at a certain distance from the coater, and a support roll around which the material web is guided. Moreover, the material web is guided around the support roll only in the area of the metering/smoothing device, and it traverses essentially in a straight line between the coater and the support roll. In accordance to a first aspect of this invention, a support arrangement supports the material web in the straight web section between the coater and the support roll. In accordance to a second aspect of this invention, devices are provided which stabilize the material web in the area where the web traverses in a straight line.

摘要： Two axially parallel rolls are pressed against each other in a device for producing and/or treating a moving material web. Sensor elements are arranged in the force transmission path running from the force-producing elements via the rolls, outside roll bodies of the two rolls. As a result of displacing the sensor elements out of the roll bodies of the rolls, the production of the rolls is less complicated and less expensive. No sensors have to be embedded in the roll bodies, which opens up the possibility of using standard rolls. In addition, the occasional grinding of the rolls can in this way be performed without any regard to the sensor elements. Nevertheless, the pressure prevailing between the rolls can continue to be measured directly, since the sensor elements are arranged in the transmission path of the pressing force.

The at least one application apparatus includes at least one contactless application unit discharging application medium in a free application medium jet, an application medium curtain, an application medium veil or an application medium droplet spray. The at least one contactless application unit applying the application medium to the web on the basis of forces to the application medium, movement impulses imparted to the application medium and on movement of the application medium induced by the force of gravity.

摘要： A doctoring device for an apparatus designed to apply a liquid or viscid medium onto a moving base surface includes a metering unit having a coater rod and a coater rod bed. The metering unit is attached to the support beam and is positioned so that it can be pressed against the base surface. A pressure-elastic support arrangement is disposed between the coater beam and the coater rod bed. The coater rod bed is supported pressure-elastically by the support beam via the support arrangement in at least two support directions that are perpendicular to each other. The spring rate of the support arrangement is adjustable in at least one of the support directions. A preferred support arrangement includes pressure hoses which are assigned to each of the two support directions. The pressures in these hoses can be adjusted, independently from each other, to a pre-determined level via a pressure source. Unwanted deformation of the support beam in various directions relative to the base surface can thereby be compensated for. Furthermore, there is a large degree of freedom in the selection of the mounting position of the doctoring device relative to the base surface.
