    摘要: A high resolution 2D/3D switchable display apparatus includes a display panel having display elements arranged in pixel units and configured to display an image. A lenticular lens array includes a plurality of lenticular lenses arranged in a horizontal direction and dividing light corresponding to a signal emitted from the display panel to visual regions of left and right eyes. A spatial optical modulator includes a plurality of cells configured to switch on or off in synchronization with a vertical scanning time of the display panel, wherein each of the plurality of cells is changed to a transparent or opaque state. The display panel sequentially displays an even field including even sequence data of a left eye image and a right eye image and an odd field including odd sequence data of the left eye image and the right eye image.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for driving a liquid crystal display to improve the quality of moving pictures are provided. The apparatus includes a transition check unit that determines whether an input image signal between a first frame and a second frame has changed and whether an input image signal between the second frame and a third frame has changed; an overdrive control unit that overdrives the input image signal in the second frame in an overdrive direction if the transition check unit determines that the input image signal between the first and second frames has changed, wherein the overdrive direction is one of an upper direction and lower direction; and an overdrive compensation unit that changes the input image signal in the third frame in an opposite direction to the overdrive direction if the transition check unit determines that the input image signal between the second and third frames has not changed.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for driving a 2-dimensional (2D)/3-dimensional (3D) switchable display for improving the quality of image. The apparatus for driving a 2D/3D switchable display includes: an image mode determination unit determining whether input image signals of continuous frames are in a 2D mode or 3D mode; and an over-driving control unit over-driving the input image signal of a current differently according to the determined image mode. According to the apparatus and method, the response time in each of the 2D mode and the 3D mode can be increased, while motion blur and cross-talk effects can be decreased, thereby improving the quality of image.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for adjusting parallax of a three-dimensional (3D) video are provided. The method including receiving an input of a 3D video sequence; determining whether a scene transition occurs between a previous frame and a current frame of the 3D video sequence; if it is determined that the scene transition occurs between the previous frame and the current frame, determining and comparing first depth information of a previous scene which includes the previous frame and second depth information of a current scene which includes the current frame; and, based on a result of the comparing, selectively adjusting depth information of at least one of the frames of the previous scene and the frames of the current scene in consideration of a difference between the first depth information and the second depth information.
