摘要： High printing speeds for graphics data are achieved with a laser printer by transmitting compressed graphics data from a main processor over an I/O (input/output) channel to a vector generator scan converter which reconstructs a full graphics image for input to the laser printer through a raster data input port. The vector generator scan converter includes a microprocessor with associated microcode memory containing a microcode instruction set, a working memory for storing compressed data, vector generator hardward for drawing a full graphic image from vector parameters calculated by the microprocessor, image buffer memory for storing the reconstructed graphics image and an output scanner for reading the graphics image data and inputting the data to the printer. The vector generator scan converter eliminates the bottleneck created by the I/O channel for transmitting graphics data from the main processor to the laser printer, and increases printer speed up to thirty fold.

A scent block is mounted in a scent holder chamber in the scent rotor. A plurality of adjustable radial apertures in the scent rotor control the passage of air through the scent rotor chamber. A housing upstream end wall of the scent dispenser housing directs air moving in the air duct toward fins on the scent rotor to rotate the scent rotor.

摘要： A security guard for mounting to a frame of a window opening in a building includes an elongated channel bar having a plurality of mounting pins secured to one end thereof and a key actuated lock visible and operable only from the interior of the building mounted within the confined flanged area of the bar at the opposite end thereof, the mounting pins and the retractable dead bolt of the lock cooperative with adjacent window frame structure to securely but releasably retain the channel bar in position next to the window on the interior side thereof. The spaced pins prohibit the bar from being rotated and an additional lock cover member mounted to the bar substantially coextensive of the lock protects the lock from external tampering. Suitable grill work or the like may be mounted to and supported by the channel bar.

摘要： This invention provides a formation evaluation tool for collecting a formation fluid in a chamber at a predetermined pressure and for maintaining the pressure of the collected fluid at a desired level during the retrieval of the chamber to the surface. The formation fluid is pumped into the chamber while a piston exposed to the hydrostatic pressure maintains the chamber pressure at the hydrostatic pressure. During retrieval of the chamber, the pressure in the chamber is maintained at a predetermined level by pumping wellbore fluid to the piston. A control unit at the surface is utilized for controlling the operation of the formation tool.

The computer also includes an operating program which co-operates with a display device and a data input device for the input of instructions to the computer. The operating program responds to a sequence of the entered instructions displayed on the display device having a separate display field for each actuator or a group of actuators and enabling an operator to enter instructions with the data input device into each field to define the movement of the respective actuator and the relationship between actuators. The display device illustrates the operating sequence of the machine as a diagram. The operating program translates this information into a machine code program controlling the operation of the actuators.

摘要： A lid is disclosed for a conventional liquid container of the type having an annular U-shaped sealing channel at the open end thereof. The lid includes an upwardly-cambered disc-shaped base having a tapered annular skirt depending downwardly from the base near its periphery. A plurality of wedge-shaped tangs depend downwardly from the skirt in a radial pattern each tang being separated by a square interstice to allow independent movement of the tangs. A sealing groove is formed around the skirt between the tangs and the base for securely engaging the inside of the channel and thereby preventing liquid from entering the channel. A conically-shaped pouring spout preferably projects upwardly from the base at an inclined attitude to provide access for ambient air to the inside of the container during pouring thereby promoting a controllable rate of flow. The spout is provided with a specially configured end having a flared lip to minimize dripping after pouring is completed. The lid may be characterized as a virtually universally fitting, snap-on, self-locking, air-tight container cover, further featuring a self-venting, virtually dripless pouring spout.
