    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; at least three of a first sub-pixel in a first color, a second sub-pixel in a second color, a third sub-pixel in a third color, and a fourth sub-pixel in a fourth color, the three sub-pixels being included in each of the pixels; and a controller configured to input an input signal to the first sub-pixel to the fourth sub-pixel. When display is performed in a plurality of display regions in respective single colors adjacent to each other in the display panel, the controller inputs a signal for lighting a sub-pixel that does not contribute to one of the single colors in a halftone manner, in a pixel included in a boundary section of the adjacent display regions.

    Abstract: A display device includes: an image display panel including a plurality of pixels each including first to fourth sub-pixels; and a signal processing unit.     Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes a display unit in which a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix along two directions intersecting with each other. Each of the pixels includes three sub-pixels corresponding to three of four colors including a first color, a second color, a third color, and a fourth color. An area of one sub-pixel among the three sub-pixels is larger than the area of each of the other two sub-pixels. A sub-pixel of the fourth color is one of the other two sub-pixels.     Abstract: A display device includes a light source device including a light emission section which emits incident light, a light conversion section which receives the incident light and which converts the intensity of the incident light, and a white light conversion section which converts the light with the converted intensity to white light. With the light source device light emitted from the light conversion section is converted to white light by the white light conversion section. As a result, white light in which chromaticity deviation is reduced is used as a light source. With a display device in which white light is used as backlight light, image quality degradation is reduced.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a light source, a light guide and a prism sheet. The display panel includes a display area in which unit pixels each containing first sub-pixels and second sub-pixels are arranged along a first direction and a second direction. In the display area, the first sub-pixels have a width different from that of the second sub-pixel in at least one of the first direction and the second direction, or each unit pixel contains different numbers of first sub-pixels and second sub-pixels.
