The apparatus includes three distinctive memories which are interrogated cyclically and in synchronism. The first distinctive memory contains instructions, while the second memory contains masking grid signals. The third memory contains pairs of input and output addresses. A logic comparator determines if a prerequisite condition is satisfied and distinctive channels or buses are used for intercommunication. A first bus applies inputs to the comparator, a register or an output unit; a second bus applies grid signals to the comparator, a register, or an output; and a third bus sends addresses to input and output units.

    摘要: A process for obtaining sealed electric passages through an insulating bodynvolves subjecting a titanium oxide ceramic forming a portion of the insulating body to a reduction process at selected places where the passages are desired. The reduction process involves baking the titanium oxide ceramic in a reducing atmosphere. According to some embodiments of the invention, more of the ceramic portion than is necessary is first subjected to the reduction process and those surface portions that are not intended to be conductive are treated to have metallic traces removed therefrom.

    摘要: A conductive stylus is utilized in conjunction with conductive segments torovide for data entry into extremely small calculators such as might be incorporated in an electronic digital watch case. Multi-bit codes, representing the segments contacted by the stylus, are generated and stored as the stylus moves over the segments. These codes are stored until a complete character has been scribed. The stored multi-bit codes are then analyzed in accordance with the segments contacted and the sequence in which they were contacted to determine what character was scribed.

    摘要: A piezoelectric resonator assembly comprises a single integral plate which is cut to form a peripheral region for supporting a resonator, a central resonating region for resonating in the longitudinal mode, surface-shear mode, or bending mode, and at least two oppositely positioned arms for fastening the peripheral region to the central region at opposite points on the central resonating region. The arms are positioned at nodal zones of the central resonating region. There is a single gap between the peripheral region and the central resonating region at each position about the central resonating region except at the positions of the arms. The entire upper and lower surfaces of the plate are continuous and have metal plates formed thereon for forming the excitation electrodes of the central resonating region. The metallized plates are attached to leads at the peripheral region. Upper and lower cover elements are also attached to the metallized plates at the peripheral region for covering the central resonating region.

    摘要: Resonators adapted to be supported from a single support arm are made by arocess wherein the resonator and its support arm are blanked in a single piece from a flat plate of piezoelectric material. The resonator electrodes are formed on the resonator and conductors formed on the support arm in a single metallization operation. If desired, the support arm may be left attached to the flat plate by a region of reduced cross section after the blanking step. The metallization step may include metallization of a portion of the flat plate to form a circuit over the conductor to the electrodes. The resonator may then be vibrated and tested while its support arm is still attached to the flat plate by applying an electrical potential to the metallized portion of the plate. After testing, the resonator support arm may be broken away from the flat plate at the region of reduced cross section. Several resonators may be made simultaneously by the process from a single flat plate of piezoelectric material.

    摘要: Two frequencies to be compared are applied to two inputs of a flip-flop. output of the flip-flop is fed to a low pass filter and the output of the filter is a saw tooth voltage proportional to the phase difference between the two frequencies. Differentiation of the saw tooth voltage yields a voltage proportional to the difference between the two frequencies. A threshold circuit is provided for sensing the output voltage of the filter to control a flip-flop which in turn reverses the phase of one of the frequency signals and disconnects the output of the differentiator from a capacitive storage circuit.
