摘要： A lock system for casement windows is disclosed which includes a tie bar slidably secured to the flame. The tie bat is secured to a lock handle that is also secured to the flame. The tie bat eliminates the need for rollers riveted to the tie bar by having a first bent section disposed between straight sections and a second bent section disposed between straight sections. All of the straight sections are linearly aligned with one another and at least some of the straight sections of the tie bar are slidably mounted to the flame using conventional guides. The lock system also includes first and second strikers mounted to the sash. The first striker comprising a first ramp that receives a first bent section and the second striker comprising a second ramp that receives a second bent section when the tie bat is slidably moved towards the first and second strikers as the tie bar is moved from an unlocked position to a locked position. Movement of the first and second bent sections along the first and second ramps respectively as the tie bar moves towards the locked position results in the sash and frame being pulled together. A third bent section may be included towards the middle of the tie bar and used to couple the tie bar to the lock handle or actuator.

摘要： A method and apparatus for closed loop, automatic processing of typical financial transactions, including loans, setting up checking, savings and individual retirement accounts, obtaining cashier's checks, ordering additional checks, issuing credit and debit cards, wire transferring money, and so on. The transactions are provided from a kiosk and controlled by a computer controller interacting with the consumer. In the case of loans, a computer controller helps the consumer in the completion of the application, performs the underwriting, and transfers funds. The computer controller obtains the information needed to process the application, determines whether to approve the loan, effects electronic fund transfers to the applicant's deposit account, and arranges for automatic withdrawals to repay the loan. The computer controller reviews documentation requirements including consumer lending and other required documentation with the consumer and obtains acknowledgment of acceptance of terms by having the consumer sign an electronic signature pad. Copies of documents with a digital photograph are printed out by a printer in the kiosk for the consumer. Finally, the kiosk has the capability of imprinting a credit or debit card in response to a consumer request.

摘要： A test system 100 that can accept a plurality of plug-in electronic cards in Xi Slots 126 or PXI slots 134 is described. The test or source measure switching system 100 includes a sequencer or sequence engine 130 which is fully capable of executing opcode instructions having potentially indefinite completion times and monitoring multiple asynchronous inputs simultaneously without interrupts. The sequencer 130 is sequential and deterministic to approximately 10 microsecond resolution. The sequencer 130 includes a trigger router which can be a fully configurable trigger input and trigger output routing matrix. Every trigger input can be configured via several detection modes such as active high, active low, level high and level low. Also, trigger outputs can be configured to be triggered on single, multiple or auto triggers if set.

摘要： A machine and process for treating contaminated water having a chamber with at least two electrodes having voltages of different polarities and made of metals containing multivalent salts; an inlet port for introduction of untreated contaminated water to the chamber, wherein the water is treated by passing over the electrodes; an outlet port for outputting the treated water from the chamber; and one or more scraper blades in close proximity with the electrodes wherein the blades are capable of movement along the length of the electrodes to remove accumulated debris. A preferred embodiment includes electrodes are made of noble elements and the scraper is affixed in close proximity to the electrode for removal of debris. Another preferred embodiment includes having the electrodes oriented along a vertical flow of the water. Another preferred embodiment includes a drum shaped electrode that rotates about a shaft while it facilitates cleaning of the electrodes. The cleaning motion is motor driven.
