摘要: There is provided a backlight driving system for a liquid crystal display that can reduce size and weight of a product because a DC-DC converter is not used when commercial AC power is converted into lamp driving power. A backlight driving system for a liquid crystal display according to an aspect of the invention includes a power supply unit converting commercial alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power having a voltage level set beforehand, an inverter unit converting the DC power from the power supply unit into AC power at a one-to-one conversion ratio set beforehand, a boosting unit boosting the AC power from the inverter unit into lamp lighting power set beforehand; and a lamp group receiving the lamp lighting power from the boosting unit to emit light.

摘要: There is provided a multi-stage power supply. A multi-stage power supply according to an aspect of the invention may include: a voltage converter circuit section including a plurality of first to n-th DC/DC converters connected in series between an input terminal and an output terminal, in order to supply a DC driving voltage to an LED array having a plurality of LEDs therein; a voltage detection section detecting an output voltage from the voltage converter circuit section; and a PWM control section generating a PWM control signal on the basis of a first detection voltage from the voltage detection section, a second detection voltage obtained by detecting current flowing through the LED array, and a third detection voltage obtained by detecting a current waveform flowing through an internal switch of the n-th DC/DC converter, and supplying the PWM control signal to each of the first through n-th DC/DC converters.

摘要: The invention relates to a power supply for a liquid crystal display using a light emitting diode for a backlight unit, and more particularly, to a power supply combining a DC power supply outside the liquid crystal display with a driving power supply inside the liquid crystal display into a single power supply. The power supply for a liquid crystal display according to an aspect of the invention may include: a power conversion section converting commercial AC power into at least one operating power having a predetermined voltage level through a switching operation; a backlight driving section switching the operating power from the power conversion section into backlight driving power; and a power switching control section controlling the switching operation of the power conversion section on the basis of a first feedback signal having a voltage level of the operating power from the power conversion section and a second feedback signal having a voltage level of the backlight driving power from the backlight driving section, wherein the power conversion section, the backlight driving section and the power switching control section are mounted on a single printed circuit board.

摘要: An apparatus for driving a light emitting device includes: a current control unit generating a current control signal according to a preset current setting value; a constant current circuit unit varying a current resistance value according to the current control signal of the current control unit, detecting a current flowing in a light emitting unit including a plurality of emitting devices by using the current resistance value, and controlling the current flowing in the light emitting unit based on the detected current; and a voltage control unit varying a voltage resistance value according to a preset voltage setting value, detecting a voltage supplied to the light emitting unit by using the voltage resistance value, and determining whether or not the voltage is in an over-voltage state, based on the detected voltage.
