    摘要: A turbocharger assembly includes: a housing with a through-bore and a cross-bore that intersects the through-bore to define an upper portion of the cross-bore with a first diameter and a lower portion of the cross-bore with a second diameter where the first diameter exceeds the second diameter; a bearing disposed in the through-bore of the housing where the bearing includes a through-bore configured to support a shaft and a cross-bore that intersects the through-bore; and a locating pin with a diameter that exceeds the second diameter of the lower portion of the cross-bore of the housing, the locating pin press-fit at least partially into the lower portion of the cross-bore of the housing and disposed at least partially in the lower portion of the cross-bore of the bearing to locate the bearing in the through-bore of the housing.     摘要: A turbocharger assembly includes a compressor wheel with a base surface, a nose surface, a z-plane disposed between the base surface and the nose surface and a bore extending from the base surface to the nose surface and a shaft that includes a first pilot surface disposed in the bore of the compressor wheel at a position between the z-plane and the nose surface, a second pilot surface disposed in the bore of the compressor wheel at a position between the z-plane and the base surface, and a recessed surface disposed between the first pilot surface and the second pilot surface. A nut adjustably disposed on the shaft adjacent to the nose surface can tension the shaft to apply a compressive load between the base surface and the nose surface of the compressor wheel. Various other examples of devices, assemblies, systems, methods, etc., are also disclosed.

During operation of a turbocharger that includes such an assembly, the shaft, the sleeve and the bushing restrict flow of exhaust gas from the inner, exhaust gas side of the component to the outer, ambient side of the component.     摘要: An exemplary semi-floating bearing for a turbocharger has a central axis defining a cylindrical coordinate system with an axial direction, a radial direction and an angular direction; a turbine end; a compressor end; journal surfaces between the turbine end and the compressor end, the surfaces configured to support a turbocharger shaft; and an opening disposed between the turbine end and the compressor end, the opening having a radial dimension that exceeds an axial dimension to, upon receipt of a locating pin, provide for movement of the bearing in the angular direction about its central axis and to provide for lesser movement of the bearing in the axial direction. Other exemplary bearings, arrangements and methods are also disclosed.
